Together, Living With Purpose A Disciple or a Disciple Maker?
November 10th, 2019
Matt. 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matt. 28:16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Col. 1:28 So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. 29 That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.

• Principle #1: Becoming a disciple maker begins in the adult world with a growing love for God. Deuteronomy 6:4-9
• Principle #2: Becoming disciple makers includes an increasing ability to speak “biblical wisdom” into another person’s life. Romans 15:14
• Principle #3: To be a disciple maker understands that they need people and people need them as they walk together toward Jesus. Ecclesiastes 4:9,10
• Principle # 4: A disciple maker understands that that when they “give spiritually” the byproduct is “getting spiritually”. Proverbs 27:17
• Principle # 5: Disciple makers aim for multiple generations of spiritual influence. 2 Timothy 2:2
