After the inaugural session, Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals, welcomed Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder, The Art of Living Foundation, who presented his keynote address on creating a new global order based on compassion, trust and peace and also interacted with the audience. This was followed by Sudhir Jalan, Chairman & Managing Director, Meenakshi Tea Co. Ltd, sharing his concluding remarks. Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor, CNBC TV-18, had a conversation with Kishore Biyani, Founder and Group CEO, Future Group, and Sanjiv Mehta on the future of retail. Biyani shared his success story and his journey so far. Amid this flux, India needs to nurture the spirit of exploration and build the capacity for innovation. In this backdrop, T V Mohandas Pai, President, AIMA and Chairman, Manipal Global Education Services, shared his views and along with P Balaji, Chief Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Officer, Vodafone Idea Ltd, launched the India Case Research Centre Portal. Omkar Goswami, Founder & Chairperson, CERG Advisory Private Limited, moderated the discussion on Business Outlook 2030 with the panelists Sunil Kant Munjal, Immediate Past President, AIMA and Chairman, The Hero Enterprise; Sanjiv Mehta, Convention Chairman and Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Unilever Limited; and Baba N Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Forge Limited. The panelists shared how India is projected to become the third-largest economy in the world by 2030 with a GDP of $10 trillion, half of which will come from the digital economy. The AIMA-Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education 2018 was presented to Bhimaraya Metri, Director, Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli. AIMA-KPMG Management Capability Development Index India Report 2018 was also released on the occasion. Replying to a question asked by Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV, vehicular pollution, Gadkari said, "Delhi's pollution is down by 27% because of new peripheral roads because of which trucks do not have to go through Delhi." In a video message, Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Government of India, said that India is poised for a huge growth. "In aviation, we are trying to make airplanes in India. Around 100 airports will come up in the next 15 years with the investment of 65 billion dollars. I am preparing a vision for aviation for 2035 to make it globally competitive and the leading industry of the country. All these transformative measures are going to help India grow," he said. Guest of honour Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Government of India, expressed his opinion on Farm to Frontier: A Unique Development Model for India. In his keynote address, M J Akbar, Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, spoke about disruption and pillars of modernisation for India.
