LSC Education supports school leaders throughout their careers. We offer personalised preparation for those entering or working in school leadership internationally.

We take as much care of our leaders as we do with our client schools and believe that well-supported individuals enhance effective educational leadership. We are therefore delighted to offer coaching for those entering or working in school leadership internationally.

LSC Education has launched a premium and confidential coaching service with a focus on individual and leadership coaching. The coaching is designed to respond to the specific needs and circumstances of each leader and is conducted on a one-to-one basis. We want to help educational leaders as they take their next steps and develop skills in international school leadership, and to do so with confidence.

We offer 3 types of coaching - Leadership, Transitional and Career Coaching. These bespoke, confidential programmes are built around frameworks that deepen learning before developing appropriate action plans. Our coaches build a strong relationship with clients, enabling them to explore perspectives, set goals, and choose options to put into action, whilst being supported through the process. Each programme is tailored to the individual’s needs and could be as short as 2-3 contact hours, or more extended support over a period of months.

Our consultants have impressive track records of appointing to and

supporting a wide range of education leadership posts, from network-level

posts such as CEO, Director of Education and Programme Director, to school

leadership posts including Executive Head, Head, Principal, Deputy, VP, Head

of Section and specialists in Finance, Marketing, HR and other functions, for

a broad spectrum of schools and education organisations worldwide.

These have included schools for all age-ranges from early years to primary

and secondary, including special schools (SEN). We have worked with schools

which offer a wide range of curricula, both national and international, serving

the needs of both local and expatriate communities. We therefore have a

Coaching opportunities with LSC

We offer the following types of coaching, through our team of highly experienced and qualified coaches, each of whom has significant leadership experience in schools across the world:

Leadership coaching

Typically, this will involve an hour long session per month for 9 or 10 months, to coincide with your school year. You will be encouraged to reflect on your leadership style, and to see the challenges you are facing through different lenses, so that you can address them. Leaders who have been through this process often return for 2 or more years, and report heightened success in post, derived from greater self-awareness, boldness and confidence.

Transitional coaching

This is highly recommended for leaders who have been appointed to a new role but who have yet to take it up. You will work on your expectations, team and relationship-building, and your goals for the first 100 days. The number of sessions will vary, depending on your personal circumstances, but it is recommended to have at least 6 hour long sessions.

Career coaching

If you are thinking of your next move, but are not sure about options, or if you have been applying and not having much success, we can set up a bespoke career coaching support for you. Typically, we will review your CV and supporting documents, explore with you what you really want from your next step, and guide you through the process of applying, including interview practice as required.

CV review

Your CV is your first opportunity to place yourself in front of a school; and if you don’t get it right, you will have squandered this chance. This CV review process includes a Skype consultation, advice and guidance on your CV, and a review of the changes that you make.
