PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES- ECONOMICS

PSO1: Has acquired strong foundation in economics subject and can apply the knowledge in PG

course, research work, in competitive exams and in combating real life challenges.

PSO2: Uses a demand and supply analysis which is the very heart of economics to all sectors

including international trade. Analyses the application of economic concepts, theory and

principles such as cost concepts, BEA, law of variable proportions, law of economies of scale,

pricing policy in decision making in order to optimize the use of scarce resources.

PSO3: Analyses the contribution of money and capital market in Indian economy. Analyses the

efficacy of monetary and fiscal policy in achieving growth with stability and in establishing an

egalitarian type of a society.

PSO4: Analyses the correlation between TQM and human capital, the importance of large

industrial houses in economic development and the importance of good industrial relations, CSR

and workers satisfaction to achieve business success in the competitive corporate world.

PSO5: Understands the unique position of Karnataka economy in Indian economy. The
