Trustee

Vincent G. Logan was won is as the 4th Special Trustee

for American Indians in July 2014. Mr. Logan’s

background includes exper�se in both law and finance.

Before coming to OST, Mr. Logan was heavily involved

with providing financial literacy programs to Na�ve

youth. One of his highest priori�es as Special Trustee is

the promo�on of financial educa�on throughout Indian

Country. Suppor�ng the outreach efforts of the Land

Buy Back Program is one step toward this priority.

AdditionalResources

The Financial Literacy and Educa�on Commission (FLEC) was

established under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transac�ons Act of

2003. The Commission was tasked to develop a na�onal financial

educa�on web site (MyMoney.gov) and a na�onal strategy on

financial educa�on. FLEC coordinates the financial educa�on efforts

throughout the federal government, supports the promo�on of

financial literacy by the private sector while also encouraging the

synchroniza�on of efforts between the public and private sectors

OST has partnered with several organiza�ons involved with FLEC

who have been supporters of our efforts to provide financial

educa�on. Some of these partners include; The Department of

Treasury, The Consumer Financial Protec�on Bureau (CFPB), Federal

Deposit Insurance Commission (FDIC), The Financial Industry

Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Investor Educa�on Founda�on, The

Securi�es & Exchange Commission (SEC), The Federal Trade

Commission (FTC), and The Federal Reserve.

An addi�onal long-standing partner in helping OST create content

specific to Indian County is First Na�ons Development Ins�tute. First

Na�ons is a Na�ve-run nonprofit organiza�on based in Longmont,

CO that seeks to strengthen Na�ve communi�es and economies.
