This Mother's Day VH1 hasteamed up with Queen Latifah'sFlavor Unit and Jesse CollinsEntertainment to shine the spot-light on the most importantwomen in the world - our moms.

The one-hour special event,which VH1 says is a first-of-its-kind, is titled “Dear Mama,” andwill premiere Sunday, May 8 at 9PM ET/PT with Anthony An-derson (“Blackish”) hosting whilealso honoring his mother, DorisBowman.

Promising that the special willnot be your typical honors show,the event will feature Queen Lat-ifah also honoring her motherRita Owens, a single mother andformer high school teacher inNewark, New Jersey. Trey,Jaden and Willow Smith willalso join the mom-fest to honortheir mother Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Additional honorary motherswill be announced soon.

The two, who portray AndreLyon and Anika "Boo BooKitty" Calhoun, respectively, onthe series centered on the Lyonfamily, announced the news ontheir social media networks Sat-urday.
