meet to try to get rid of Spanish presence in Peru.

• Bolívar asks San Martín to go into early retirement– He agrees.– He dies in exile in Europe.

• By 1825 Bolívar has kicked Spanish out of Peru. – Leads to many Creole

republics– Slavery abolished
