10 Main Indicators (20 sub-indicators)
(4 sub-indicators for future development)
13
Evaluation (1st Phase Action Plan f 4th Plan VS 3rd Plan)
Decreased impact to human?
Social safety
Strategy 1
Decreased contamination in
environment?
Environment safety
Strategy 2
Increased capacity and participation from all sectors?
Participation from all sectors
Strategy 3
Sickness and death rate caused by chemicals in agricultural sector – conclusion could not be made due to incomplete data reported Sickness and death rate caused by chemicals in work place – decrease in sickness rate but not death rate Chemical residues in food, vegetables, fruits and consumer products – decreasing trend of pesticide residues found in vegetables and fruits,
pesticide residues found in imported vegetables and fruits, increased research work on chemical contamination found in consumer products Chemical accidents and damage – number of incidents not decrease, damage assessment is needed to compare
Chemical contamination in air – VOCs, benzene in Bangkok exceeds Thai standard but with decreasing trend, 1,2 dichloro ethane and 1,3 butadiene exceeds Thai standard in some stations in Rayong province but with decreasing trend
Chemical contamination in water – Heavy metals in major rivers and coastal areas increase and decrease depending on areas. Chemical contamination in soil – depending on areas (decrease in high risk areas with implemented measures)
Participation from people and private sectors increased Increased incidents of illegal dumping of chemicals, damage assessment
is needed to compare
