Abstract: In the quest of unraveling the mysteries of the scientific world, we find ourselves knocking at the doors of a maze, a labyrinth; where the scattered dots are apparently, connected with an ingenious web of interactions and associations. That there is some sort of language, a conversation without words going out there, is exemplified in aspects of the astronomical world to the niche of the living. The mysteries of the number PHI breathe life into the morphological dimensions of a pinecone, a seashell as also the human body. Researchers now suggest that the Genetic Code may also be influenced by the same Fibonacci sequence which lays the basis of PHI. The reticulum of shared knowledge and mutual arrangement unfurls in the living world. The interactions and associations in the fauna quite evident in the knowledge of pheromones, feed-back hormonal mechanisms, immune systems and homoestasis. Even the plants seem to react and respond to touch, are sensitive to temperature and light changes, recognize enemies and grow in groups to form colonies. That the plants interact with the animals in a coded language is well illustrated if the Doctrine of Signatures is believed to be true. The doctrine advocates that the plants carry signs to elucidate the ailment they can heal. There seems to be a continuous relay of information from one level to the next. The synchronizations, the synaptic pulses, the underlying harmony in the Universe are all now being attributed to the ever-elluding God Particle. The God Particle, aka, Higgs boson and the Higgs field apparently, lay the very foundation of the Universe as we know of today. New Age scientists are suggesting that the Universe is more like a computer; making computations, storing information and sharing data. There is a hint that there exists an archival network between stars and galaxies; relaying, intercepting and interpreting the ciphers , the coded messages. The possibilities are immense, the revelations promising. The Secret Language of Science is waiting to be Unveiled!

1. INTRODUCTION

“The more I examine the Universe, and the details of its architecture, the more evidence I find that the Universe in some

sense must have known we were coming”[1].

The mysteries of Universe and life have boggled great minds, from physicists to biologists, the more we dwell and the deeper we delve , the more complex it becomes. But there is a method to this madness, an undisclosed arrangement, an interconnecting network which makes the whole system meaningful. It is as if there is a secret language of science which makes things tick.1

How is that animals understand things I do not know, but it is certain that they do understand. Perhaps there is a language which is not made of words and everything in the world understands it”[23]. Telepathy, intuition, the chirp of the birds, the circardian rythms; its almost as if the universe has its own parallel invisible network of communication which forms the basis of the underlying harmony of its constituents, a tacit collusion with all that is living and beyond.

2. DECIPHERING THE CODES

The examples to further the cause of a communication system, of a language yet to be interpreted, of an interaction between the different components of this Universe, are innumerable , possibilities immense.

The magic of the Divine proportion-the number PHI , is now not 2

unknown to mankind. The number PHI, “one-point-six-one-eight”, is derived from the Fibonacci sequence where in the sum 3

of adjacent terms equals the next term as also the quotients of adjacent terms approach the number 1.618 -PHI. PHI is believed to play the role of a fundamental building block in nature. There are numerous instances where plants, animals and even human beings in some sense, possess morphological dimensional properties that stick to the ration of PHI to one. The spirals of the cephalopod mollusk 'nautilus', growth pattern of seeds in sunflower , the proportion of female bees to male bees in a bee-hive and the morphological proportions of the human body; all suggest the mysterious magic inherent in the number PHI, the so called Divine Proportion.

The book, Da Vinci Code [2] claims that the Pentagram or the 'Pentacle' as the ancients called it, a symbol formed by five intersecting lines forming a five-pointed star - is a symbol considered both magical and divine by many cultures and interestingly, while drawing a pentagram, the lines automatically divide themselves into segments according to the Divine Proportion. This language of science has found reverence in the works of renowned artists like Michelangelo and Da Vinci who are believed to have adhered to this Divine proportion. PHI also surfaces in the architectural dimensions of the Greek Parthenon and the Pyramids of Egypt.

Much has been written about as to how the Egyptians might have erected their monuments with so much emphasis and stress on astronomical alignments. It is still an unfathomable mystery, as

to the function- practical or symbolic, behind these mysterious yet precise alignments [3]. 'The Orion Mystery' [4] published in 1994, introduced the world to the star-correlation theory about the Giza Pyramids in Egypt. The book suggests that the pattern of the three Giza Pyramids and their relative position to the Nile, mirrors the pattern of the three stars of Orion belt and their relative position to the Milky way. A connectionhas been drawn

to the flooding of the Nile, rejuvenation of the crops and all other life in Egypt and the journey of the stars and the Sun during this period. The Pyramids were thus, supposed to have been built as clusters of stars at predetermined sites to represent Orion and the Pleiades, as well as the 'Sun' temples were set on both sides of the Nile to define the path of the Sun's journey, so as to predict the flooding of the Nile river.

That there exists an intricate, almost surreal, communication

network in and amongst the constituents of the Universe, waiting to be explored, can be well illustrated in the facts of Biology. There are theories and there are practical applications, both pointing towards an unknown, undeciphered language through which the Universe communicates with us.

Doctrine of Signatures' is a philosophy shared by herbalists since the time of Dioscoroides. This doctrine states that herbs and plants that resemble parts of the human body, can be used to treat diseases and ailment of that part of the body. Examples to elucidate this theory are sundry, Digitalis which has heart-shaped leaves can be used to cure heart ailments, walnut for the brain, almond for eyes, kidney-beans for kidney, celery for the bones and 'mandrake' which resembles the human morphology,

for cure of the entire human body. “It was reasoned that the 10

Almighty must have set his sign upon the various means of 11

curing disease which he provided.[5]

The theory has been fictionalized in a Disc world novel for young adults by Terry Pratchett – “A Hat Full of Sky” [6]. The book has an exaggerated form of the doctrine of signature, showing plants being equipped with a text in tiny letters and bad spellings, explaining what they may be good for and at times signalling warnings akin to modern labels on drugs or food items.

However, scientists generally, interpret the theory as an assortment of random coincidental links which do not hold much ground in wake of lack of concrete evidence. Even if we ignore the Doctrine as an exaggerated ode to superstition, the complexities of DNA- our heredity material and the whopping amount of information it carries within, cannot be undermined. As scientists explore a new universe, the universe inside the cell -they are making startling discoveries of information systems more complex than anything ever devised by humanity's best minds. [7]

DNA does contain a genetic language, and for it to be rightly called a Language, it must fulfill certain pre-requisites. It should have: an alphabet or coding system, correct spelling, grammar i.e. a proper arrangement of words, meaning and an intended purpose. The genetic code as has been proven, has all these key elements for it to be called a language.

The coding regions of DNA have exactly the same relevant properties as a computer code or language [8]. The amount of information in human DNA is believed to be roughly equivalent to 12 sets of The Encyclopaedia Britannica.

Though, decryption and decoding of the triplet Genetic Code thwas carried out in the beginning of the 20 Century, newer

researches in this area suggest striking analogies between the Genetic Code and the Fibonacci Code. These analogies between the 6-digit Fibonacci Code and the triplet Genetic Code, make way for finding new features of the Universal Genetic Code.

The Fibonacci proportion also forms the basis of Jean-Clode Perez' discovery of the DNA SUPRA code [9], a scientific employee with IBM, discovered the mathematical law controlling the self organizing of the bases T,C,A and G inside the DNA. The consecutive sets of DNA nucleotides are organized in frames of the distant order called as “RESONANCES”. Resonance represents the special proportion ensuring division of DNA parts pursuant to the Fibonacci numbers (1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34…..). It is the same proportion which controls the morphology of natural organisms like Pine cones, Cacti etc., as discussed earlier.

Discovery of the DNA Supra-code emphasizes the analogy between music, poetry and science; it once again draws our attention to the underlying harmony which forms the basis of Pushkins poetry, Da Vinci's paintings and the resonance of the DNA Supra- code.

The case of global network of interaction as you may call it, is revealed at so many levels of life on earth. The intrigues of the living world never cease to amaze and excite the curious minds. The art that science creates astonishes the greatest minds. “Dreams are not unique to humans. Within each species, whether insects, fishes, plants or even microbes, life exists in glorious and surprising variety rich in sensation and creating a marvelously complex web of interaction with its surroundings” [10]. Brian J. Ford, in his book, The Secret Language of Life, explains the complexities of the communication systems that are inherent to species interaction. Plants too can tell direction, respond to external stimulus, temperature and light changes. They aggregate and colonize as well.

Research on Pheromones and orchestrate animal behaviour helps in furthering the cause of a 'waiting to be explored' language. Chemical communication spans the entire spectrum

of life from simplest of organisms to Human beings. Pheromones, the chemical factors secreted or excreted by animals/insects that trigger a social response in other members

of the same species, like the alarm pheromones, food trail pheromones and sex-pheromones;are being hyped as the evolving language of chemical communication. [11] Feedback hormonal systems, immune systems and homoestasis- all are examples of our body systems interacting with each other for maintaining balance and a continuous energy flow.

This energy flow is maintained throughout the spectrum of Universe. Much has been said about the long sought particle Higgs boson, i.e the God Particle which is speculated to

complete the standard model of physics by revealing and explaining why objects in our universe have mass-and in doing so, why galaxies, plants and even humans have any right to exist. The Higgs boson is hyped to be one of the final pieces that fits in to explain the Standard Model of Physics-the theory which defines how fundamental particles interact with the elementary forces of nature. The so called God Particle was proposed in 1960s by Peter Higgs, to explain why some particles such as quarks-building blocks of protons and electrons have mass, while others like the photons, do not. Higgs, speculated that the universe is bathed in an “invisible field” similar to a magnetic field. Every particle experiences this “Higgs field” but to varying degrees. If a particle can move through this field with little or no interaction, there will be no drag, and that particle will have little or no mass. Alternatively, if a particle interacts significantly with the Higgs field, it will have higher mass.

The idea of Higgs field requires the acceptance of a related particle; the Higgs boson. If the Higgs field didn't exist, the standard model suggests that it would be very difficult to form atoms [12]; so our orderly world, where matter is made of atoms, and electrons form chemical bonds- would not be the same, without Higgs field-there would be no Galaxies, no stars, no planets and no life on Earth.

“Something we cannot yet detect and which, one might say, has been put there to test and confuse us. The issue is whether physicists will be confounded by this puzzle or whether, in contrast to the unhappy Babylonians, we will continue to build the tower and, as Einstein put it, “Know the Mind of God”. [13].

New Age Science targets at unravelling these mysteries of the Universe, of the Life on Earth and beyond. There are suggestions and speculations of the emergence of a new belief wherein, God has created all life and interacts with this panorama of life forms at sundry levels [14].

The communication in the 'scientific' world takes a new turn, with the discovery that sub-atomic particles such as electrons are able to instantaneously communicate with each other regardless of the distance separating them, defeating the speed of light theory in turn[15]. The possibilities are exciting; scientists are now thinking of trying to deliberately modulate the rapid rotation pulsed radiations of Pulsars into a form of cosmic transmitter. Astronomers first thought the pulses meant they might be Extra-Terrestrial, the electromagnetic waves emitted by Pulsars could be encoded messages too subtle to detect. Quasars which release energy equal to hundreds of average galaxies combined are now being researched for their role as Galactic Websites run by other space civilizations. Some opine like Cardiff University astronomer, Chandra Wickram Singhe[16], that life on this planet began on comets, since their combination of clay and water is an ideal breeding ground for life and thus and therefore, the asteroids and comets could be carrying physical messages to be incorporated and passed on.

The Universe is now being likend to a 'Quantum Computer' [17], as it has made a mind boggling 10122 computations since the Big Bang. Lloyd suggests that a Black Hole could also serve as a quantum computer and data storage bank, as in a black hole,

certain radiations like Hawking radiations, escape the black hole, unintentionally carries information about the materials inside the Black Hole.

The new age scientists are speculating whether there is a super massive black hole in the center of our galaxy, perhaps a remnant of an ancient quasar. Besides, there may be a swarm of sundry thousand black holes orbiting the central black hole. These could act as distributed computing nodes and a storage network. This gives shape to the idea that there exists an archival network between stars and between galaxies developing into “Encyclopaedia Universica', storing critical information about the universe at multiple redundant locations such as these black holes. The possibility of a 'Universenet' are thick with a promise.

3. CONCLUSION

The mysterious magic of this unspoken language of signs, symbols, codes and frequencies is inherent in all that constitutes this Universe and the Life it sustains. And as Galileo Galilli [1564-1642] said, “Mathematics is the language in which God has written the Universe'; it is for us to explore, decipher and decode the language of this Universe: The Secret Language of Science.
