LOG IN: How to access eTV What is eTV?

eTV is an online service that gives you access to live-streamed and recorded programmes from a range of New Zealand and international television channels.

Do I need to register?

No. All you need is your VUW (ITS) username and password.

How to stream live foreign language channels

1 Open your browser of choice and go to www.etv.org.nz.

2 Click on the ‘LOGIN OR REGISTER’ button. On the Login/Register page type @vuw.ac.nz in the email

field. A message will appear. Click OK and you will be automatically redirected to Victoria University’s

login page.

3 Log in using your VUW username and password. At the first login, your Digital ID Card will appear.

Tick the box if you do not want your Digital ID Card to be shown at future logins, then click ‘Confirm’.

4 Click on the Live Channels button, then select Television, and scroll down and click on the icon of

the channel you want to watch. The channel will start streaming. You can click on the Schedule link to

view upcoming scheduled programmes.

Watching pre-recorded programmes

1 Go to www.etv.org.nz and log in.

2 Select On Demand, then choose TV Recordings and then click on the icon of the channel you want.

3 Select and launch the programme you want to watch.
