This meet format is designed to help swimmers acquire or improve upon an official USA-Swimming IMX score. There are no relays and no team awards. All swimmers are encouraged to swim either all IM Ready (IMR) or all the IM Xtreme (IMX) events, depending on their age & ability level. Swimmers may swim in a mix of events but will only be eligible for an award if they compete

in all the required events, listed below.

Coaches: OnlycurrentlyregisteredUSASwimmingcoachmemberswillbepermittedondeckindesignatedareas.EachcoachmustsigntheCoachesMeetSign-In(APP-29)andpresentacurrentUSASwimmingcoachmembershipcardtotheRefereeorhisdesigneetoverifythatallcertificationsarecurrentandonfile.Coachesshallweartheircoachmembershipcardssothattheyareclearlyvisibletoswimmersandmeetpersonnelatalltimes.TheuseofDeckPassdoesnotsatisfythisrequirement.

Warm-ups: TheISImandatorywarm-upprocedurewillbefollowed.Thepoolwillbe cleared10minutespriortocompetition. AllswimmersmustbeunderthesupervisionofaUSASwimmingmembercoachduring warm-up,competition,andwarm-down.Anyswimmerwithoutacoachshallreportto theRefereepriortohisorherwarm-up.TheRefereewillassisttheswimmerinmaking arrangementsforsuchsupervision,butitistheswimmer’sresponsibilitytoensuresuch arrangementsaremadepriortothestartofthemeet.


RacingStartCertification: AllswimmerenteredinthemeetmustbecertifiedbyaUSASwimmingmembercoachasbeingproficientinperformingaracingstartormuststarteachracefromwithinthewater.Whenunaccompaniedbyamember-coach,itistheresponsibilityoftheswimmerortheswimmer’slegalguardiantoensurecompliancewiththisrequirement.

PursuanttoRule205.3.1FofUSASwimmingRulesandRegulations,theprograminallage-groupcompetitions(exceptchampionshipmeets)shallbeplannedtoallowtheeventsforswimmers12yearsandyoungertobecompletedinfourhoursorless.

AgeGroupsarecombinedineventsbutwillbeseparatedintosingleagegroupsforscoringandawards.ScoringwillbeusingHyTek’sPowerPoints.Eachtimewillbegivenapointvalue:swimmersscoresfromalleventswillbecombinedforanoverallIMXorIMRpointtotal.DQwillresultinzeropoints,buteligibleforawards.Scoringandawardswillbedeterminedaccordingtosingle-yearageandgenderbyswimmers’IMXorIMRtotals.

Awards: IMX&IMRcombinedtotalHighPointFemale&Maleineachsingleage;9to18yearswillbeawardedaHighPointPlaque.SwimmersmustcompeteinallIMXorIMReventstobeeligiblefortheplaque.ADQwillnotmakeswimmerineligibleforhighpointawardbutanoswimwill.SwimmersmustcompeteinallIMXorIMReventstobeeligibleforthehighpointplaquefortheirageandgender.AllswimmerscompletingalltheIMXorIMReventswillreceiveanaward.
