RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Total Tank Rehab – Tanks 39 & 40, COE-Eglin AFB, FL (2011-2013)

Developed plan and strategy; handled client negotiations on this project, which consisted of removing

the complete tank bottoms in two tanks followed by jacking the tanks to install a new concrete ring wall

foundation complete with new a CP compatible sand bed, new CP system, new liner with leak detection

and a new 5/16” steel bottom. Also included were the removal of the existing “snow roofs” and the

fabrication and erection of new steel cone roofs. Complete new internal coatings, performed under our

QP1 and QS1 Certification, and new Petrex roofs were included in the project as well.

Total Tank Rehab – Tank 45, AFCESA, Eglin AFB, FL (2011-2013)

Developed plan and strategy; handled client negotiations on this project, which consisted of removing

the complete tank bottoms in this tank followed by jacking the tank to install new a concrete ring wall

foundation complete with a new CP compatible sand bed, new CP system, new liner with leak detection

and a new 5/16” steel bottom. Also included were the removal of the existing “snow roofs” and the

fabrication and erection of a new steel cone roof. Complete new internal and external coatings, with full

containment performed under our QP1 and QS1 Certification, and new Petrex roofs were included in

the project.

SATOC Contract, AFCESA (Various Locations) CONUS (2009-2013)

Developed plan and strategy; handled client negotiations on these projects, which were handled as TO

projects in various locations and mainly consisted of tank repairs and coating upgrades after initial API

653 Inspections were performed. Work included new bottom replacements, new annular replacements

and upgrades on both internal and external piping to meet AW and UFGS specifications. Coating work

consisted of full internal and external coatings, performed under our QP1/QS 1 Certification, along with

standard coating touch ups. All were performed to the UFGS specification for internal and external

coatings.

Tank Upgrades, NAS Key West, FL (2011)

Developed plan and strategy; handled client negotiations on this project, which consisted of upgrades to

the upper hand rail of the tank, along with the addition of new high-level controls with a change in the

external piping to match. Coating upgrades were limited to new work performed.

Tank Bottom Replacement, Whiting Field NAS, FL (2011)

Developed plan and strategy; handled client negotiations on this project, which required the installation

of a new double bottom and included the installation of a new CP compatible sand bed, new CP system,

new liner with leak detection and a new 5/16” steel bottom. In addition, all manways and nozzles were

raised to meet API spacing requirements. The piping systems that tied into the nozzles were also raised

to meet the new nozzle heights.

Tank Bottom Replacements/Dike Repairs, El Centro NAS, CA (2005-2006)

Served as Project Manager on this project, which consisted of removing the complete tank bottom in

two tanks followed by installation of a new CP compatible sand bed, new CP system, new liner with leak

detection and a new 5/16” steel bottom. The work included removing the old bottom at the existing

corner weld in order to prevent raising the manways and shell nozzles. Each tank had an existing Petrex

aluminum floating roof that was raised in order to excavate the existing sand bed. All work was

completed ahead of schedule.

Tank Renovation and Repairs, Jacksonville FISC, FL (2006-2007)

Completed renovation of Tanks 1 and 7 at the FISC in Jacksonville, Florida. Upgrades and repairs to the

two 80,000 BBL (3,360,000 tanks) to ensure safe containment of JP-5 fuel for the next five years. Both

tanks are 120-foot diameter, steel, open-top floating roof aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) which have

a cone-up bottom. Cleaned the two ASTs to ensure they were vapor-free before commencing welding

and coating repairs, performed out-of-service inspections of the tanks in accordance with API Standard

653 and developed the design for repairs to both tanks to extend their service life for five years.

Tank Bottom Replacement, Whiting Field NAS, FL (2005)

Served as Project Manager on this project, which required the installation of a new double bottom and

included the installation of a new CP compatible sand bed, new CP system, new liner with leak detection

and a new 5/16” steel bottom. In addition, all manways and nozzles were raised to meet API spacing

requirements. The piping systems that tied into the nozzles were also raised to meet the new nozzle

heights.

Pier Piping Replacement, Jacksonville FISC Facility (2007-2008)

Served as Project Manager on this project, which consisted of the compete replacement of the 16” ship

lines and the 10” barge lines on the fuel pier at the FISC Facility. Due to total shut down of unloading

operations during the 16” line outage, the work window was limited to 30 days. In order to meet the

schedule, all pipes with the exception of the tie in welds was fabricated and inspected in a lay-down

area off the pier. Work was completed on the 16” lines on schedule and prior to the arrival of the first

ship load of fuel. In addition and after the 16” lines were replaced, the barge lines were fabricated at the

same lay-down area and installed without delaying any barge shipments. Nearly 2,500 welds of various

sizes were installed and inspected with a zero defect rate.

Replace Floating Roofs, Nellis Air Force Base, Southwest Division, NAVFAC (2004)

This project consisted of the cleaning and inspection of four tanks required for the removal of the

existing pontoon style aluminum floating roof and the installation of four new Petrex honeycomb

aluminum roofs. Additional items included the fabrication and installation of new aluminum stilling wells

for the upgrade of the tank gauging system. Additional scope of work that was added after inspection

included the modification to the spiral stairway to allow for the addition of a new mid-level platform for

the installation of a new high-level control system. Due to operational requirements, only one tank was

allowed to be out-of-service at a time. The project was completed ahead of schedule without delays

which allowed for the Mission Critical Operation (i.e. Red Flag) to proceed as planned.

Repair/Replace Above Ground Storage Tanks, Ft Rucker, AL (2001)

This $1.7M project consisted of the complete revamp of the Hanchey Field Fuel Farm. The project

required the addition of one new 10,000 BBL cone roof tank, a complete new pump and filter upgrade in

the existing pump shelter, removal of all underground piping and replacement of that piping with all

new above ground carbon steel and stainless steel pipe. The project was competed on time without

delays in order to meet the Army Training Requirement for the German Helicopter Pilots Class.
