The next phase of development on our new website
is all about members promoting their business.
Many of you are already using it and love it. Now
more easily than ever, chamber members can directly
announce and promote deals, job openings, and business
events. (We just heard from two different businesses they
filled positions from our website.) We are thrilled to hear
positive results from our responsive audience.
Wait: posting on the chamber website is not only free for members but unlimited? How could it be better? This
is how: To guide you through the process we are launching
a series of two-minute videos, walking you step-by-step
through many tools and features on our website. (It’s even
easier than calling us. But we like that too!)
And that’s not all: once you post, we package
announcements weekly into a bundle and distribute them
via an email blast (or e-newsletter) and in-bulk regularly
on our Facebook page. (We know that our community
wants to keep the pulse on the latest-and-greatest Lander
has to offer, and we know you want help getting the word
out!)
Next: Spring is here and it’s the perfect time to
participate in our Flower Barrel Program. As you know, the
chamber is also Lander’s Visitor Center, and we believe in
the first impression of our town. Lining our streets with
wayfinding signage and bright, cheerful flowers shows
visitors we welcome them to Lander. (Read more details
about the program inside.)
Finally, along with a touch of Spring Fever, we are hard
at work planning our two big summer events: Lander
Brewfest and Lander LIVE. If you love festivities and
summer excitement, just daydreaming of
these events are going to peel your winter
socks off. Get ready!

Preview Summer 2015LANDER BREWFEST
Nothing kicks off
summer better
than the annual
beloved Lander Brewfest.
Two very exciting changes
to this year’s program: City
Park and free entry for non-
drinkers. We’re moving the
event location back to City
Park for closer proximity to
town and the mercy of shade
trees. Encouraging families
and non-drinkers to partake
in this year’s event, Brewfest
will be free and open to the
public including live music,
lawn games, trivia, and more.
If you’re interested in
tasting over twenty craft
brewers’ entries from
Wyoming, Idaho, Montana,
Utah, and Colorado—21+
aged drinkers may purchase
passes and cups at Brewfest
gates ($30 for one day /
$50 for both days) or pre-
purchase (save a few bucks
and skip the lines) online.
So flip the calendar and
save the dates: June 12 (5-
9pm) and June 13 (2-7pm).
Online sales start April 1 at
www.landerbrewfest.com and
find out more information
about brewers, music, and
adjunct events such as
EVEN
TS
Wyoming Brews Tap Takeover,
Brewers’ Golf Tournament,
and the Fremont Area Road
Tour.
LANDER LIVE
The Lander Chamber is
excited to announce
Lander LIVE: a four-
part, outdoor live music
concert series. Every other
Tuesday, beginning July 21,
excellent touring bands will
perform at Jaycee Park by
the Lander caboose. Come
out to hear a variety of mu-
sic and enjoy the tastings of
local vendors. Bands will be
announced soon, so save the
dates (7/21, 8/4, 8/18 & 9/1)
and get ready to cut loose by
the caboose!
Sponsors, vendors, and other inquiries about Lander Brew-fest and Lander LIVE and please contact Rose Burke, Event Coordinator, via email at [email protected].
Summer Barrels on Main StreetPR
OJE
CT
S
For the past 24 years,
the Lander Chamber
Beautification
Committee has coordinated
the wildly flourishing Flower
Barrel Program: a business-
sponsored “greenscaping”
of Lander via re-purposed
whiskey barrels and bright
annuals throughout town.
Now that a certain promise
of spring has made a special
guest appearance, it is time
to start planning for your
very own barrel of summer.
In the 2014 season there
were 61 refills and 19 new
barrels, lining our streets
with over 80 casks of locally
with fresh soil and this
year’s chosen hand grown
specimens: Yellow Butterfly
Daisies and burgundy / deep
purple Petunias. Sprouts’
and a team of coordinated
volunteers deliver your
barrels to the storefront the
first week of June (depending
on which version of summer
weather we’re experiencing.)
...Just add water.
See insert for order forms
or contact the chamber for
getting-your-hands-dirty type
of volunteer opportunities.
grown, floura-coordinated
annuals. This year the
committee hopes to double
numbers of participants: it is a
great way to show your Lander
pride and support.
How it works: in April
and the first week of May
businesses purchase or “re-
fill” a flower barrel with the
chamber - via newsletter
flyer, phone, or in-person. By
May 15, the Beautification
Committee delivers a final
count to Sprout’s Greenhouse
(they even keep your past
participant barrel in storage
over the winter) and the
container is assembled
Ever wonder how new businesses get started in Lander? Have a great idea, but
don’t know where or how that idea can grow?
Lander Economic Development Association (LEDA) launches a new business
networking and development event on April 22: “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.... in
Lander.” With collaboration from the Lander Chamber of Commerce, this series targets
new and seasoned entrepreneurs, showcases available commercial spaces in Lander, and
highlights opportunities for economic growth in our creative, inventively robust town.
The first in the new LEDA-hosted series takes place at 8116 Hwy 780, a commercial
space owned by Ron Hansen, proprietor of the Wind River Outdoor Company and the
Popo Agie One Stop.
Cade Maestas, president of LEDA, commented on the potential for this type of event
to draw thriving new businesses to Lander and to spark an entrepreneur’s imagination:
“There’s plenty of space in Lander for new ideas to take root and flourish, and this is just
one way you can make that happen.” So, all you potential business owners, where are
you going to be April 22 at 5pm?
