My Mall: Stonecrest Mall

My Survey (Neighborhood)Summary I surveyed 8 people. Q1-Half said yes other half said no Q3- Most common problem was crime/theft. Q4&5- All liked the exterior and interior of the

mall. Q6- Most said no, but two said that the crime

and the no teen without a adult rule after 4 p.m. is also a reason.

Q7- Only two were consulted and were consulted by friends in the area.

How are they planted? In areas of dirt, leaves. Etc.

Parking? I Estimated about 90% of the lots are filled with cars

Where does the water go?In the sewer

Is the area aesthetically pleasing to you?Yes , nice construction of stores and places around the building.

Calculations – To measure height of tree

1. Distance from you to tree: 241.3 cm 2. Measure your eye level (also in cm) 162 cm 3. Use clinometer to measure top of tree: 45

degrees 9. Add height at eye level- Tree height 300cm +

EYE 162cm= Tree height 462cm

Summary of questions Most of my respondents liked Stonecrest mall, the only

problem I believe was the noise and incompletion of streets and roads. They don’t have many environmental problems, but this weekend we did have water runoff due to the rain. This mall has a movie theater and store for shopping, such as jewelry, etc. We can keep the negatives minimized by keeping the area clean. If I were to build a mall I would start with recycle bins around the mall and other things will be added. The mall I believe was build on open fields due to open space around the mall. I haven’t seen much wildlife around the mall, maybe a deer or two.
