Attraverso il nostro design, ci siamo sempre dati come sfida, quella

di provare a ridisegnare la vita delle persone, il loro modo di conce-

pire e abitare la casa.

In un momento storico delicato come quello che stiamo vivendo,

pensiamo che ci sia bisogno di più verità e di più follia.

Una verità che sia approccio informale alle cose, semplicità di forme,

riscoperta di materiali primordiali. La follia, invece, è quella buona,

quella che fa sognare e produce sensazioni leggere e positive.

Lavorando su verità e follia siamo riusciti a esplorare nuove dimen-

sioni dell’abitare. Grazie alla sospensione di volumi agganciati al sof-

fitto che, mettono in discussione le leggi di gravità, abbiamo creato

paesaggi domestici surreali.

Il 30mm e il 36e8 Weightless che scendono come stalattiti dall’alto,

il tavolo Comfort Table che si plasma sotto il peso di mani e avam-

bracci, la sedia snodabile Joynt progettata da LAGOSTUDIO, sono

tutti prodotti che hanno alla base un po’ di follia.

Ma non ci siamo limitati a questo. Abbiamo continuato ad indagare

la nostra filosofia di design sistemico e introdotto nuove finiture.

Grazie al lavoro di progettazione e ricerca dell’ultimo anno, LAGO

è ora in grado di of rire al consumatore 4 macro materiali con cui

vestire la propria casa: legno, laccato, vetro, tessuto; ciascuno dotato

di personalità e funzionalità diverse, ma complementari.

Una delle novità principali riguarda il sistema Et Voilà che si veste,

quest’anno, di un nuovo tessuto a righe declinabile anche su divani e

letti per creare un ambiente coerente, arredato completamente con

lo stesso tessuto.

Un materiale che, invece, parla di verità è: Wildwood, un rovere vis-

suto dall’anima primordiale con cui abbiamo costruito tavoli, letti,

mensole.

Quest’anno, abbiamo deciso di rilanciare anche il nostro obiettivo

di colorare il mondo e ci siamo orientati su tonalità eleganti e senza

tempo, che conferiscono ai prodotti un tocco di raf inatezza senza

perdere in vigore ed energia.

Naturalmente, accanto alle novità di prodotto rimangono tutti gli

altri ingredienti LAGO, compresi Appartamento e Lagostudio che

sono due bellissimi esempi di cosa succede quando si crea la miscela

perfetta di verità e follia.

Through our design, we’ve always given ourselves the challenge of

trying to remodel people’s lives; the way they think of their homes

and the way they live in them.

During this critical, historic moment we are living in we believe there

is more need for truth and madness.

A truth that can be considered a casual approach to things, simple

forms and a rediscovery of primordial material. The madness on the

other hand is a positive one. One that makes you dream and that

creates light and pleasant feelings.

While working on truth and madness we managed to discover new

dimensions in living. Thanks to suspended components attached to

the ceiling, which defy the laws of gravity, we have created surreal

landscapes within the household.

The 30mm and 36e8 Weightless which hang like stalactites, the

Comfort Table that is shaped by the weight of hands and forearms

and the Joynt swivel chair developed by LAGOSTUDIO are all prod-

ucts that have a touch of madness in them.

But we didn’t stop there. We continued to investigate our philosophy

on systematic design and we introduced new finishes.

Thanks to the planning and research work we carried out in the last

year, LAGO is now in a position to of er its clients 4 macro materials

that can be used to decorate their homes: wood, lacquer, glass and

fabric; each with dif erent personalities and features but all comple-

mentary.

One of the main novelties is the Et Voilà system which, as of this

year, takes on new lined fabric that can be used on couches and beds

in order to create a coherent and harmonious setting that is fully

furnished using the same fabric.

A material which on the contrary talks of truth is: Wildwood, a live

oak that has a primordial soul with which we’ve built tables, beds

and shelves.

This year we’ve also decided to re-launch our objective of coloring

the world and we went along the lines of elegant and timeless tones.

The type of tones that give a product a touch of exquisiteness with-

out losing vigor and energy.

And of course aside from the new products all the other LAGO in-

gredients are still present including the Apartment and Lagostudio

which are two wonderful examples of what can happen when you

create the perfect blend of truth and madness.

Il design LAGO è pensato in maniera sistemica: lo spazio abitativo è

come un sistema in cui gli oggetti d’arredo sono singoli elementi di

un insieme.

Come in ogni sistema, ci sono elementi più chiassosi che spiccano

fra gli altri per il colore o la forma ed elementi più umili che pas-

sano quasi inosservati, ma assolvono alla loro funzione in maniera

eccellente. Quando accostiamo fra loro i prodotti LAGO, essi crea-

no delle relazioni e iniziano a comunicare un significato diverso da

quello iniziale, unendosi in maniera simbiotica o complementare e

contribuendo tutti assieme a costruire delle nuove visioni del vivere

e dell’abitare.

L’intento che anima questo modo di concepire il design è quello di

ofrire al consumatore degli ingredienti con cui concepire il proprio

habitat, la propria casa, una stanza. Elementi con personalità e fun-

zionalità uniche e diferenti, ma pensati per produrre un’unica sinfo-

nia. Sarà il fruitore o l’interior designer a decidere quale.

Grazie a questo modo di concepire il design, LAGO crea una forma

partecipata di creazione del valore e sposta l’epicentro da chi pro-

getta a chi usa. È nell’atto stesso di chiedere un contributo che nasce

il valore del design LAGO.

The LAGO design is conceived in a systematic manner: the living

quarters is like a system where ornamental objects are single ele-

ments of a set. As in any system there are certain components that

stand out amongst others because of their color or shape and then

there are more modest components that remain almost unnoticed

but nevertheless fulfill their function extremely well.

When LAGO products are placed alongside each other they create a

relationship and they begin to convey a meaning which is diferent

from the initial one. They come together in a symbiotic or comple-

mentary manner and together they create new ways of living.

The intention of conceiving design in this manner is to ofer clients

the ingredients needed to create their personal habitat, their home

or a room. Components that have personality and features that are

unique and diferent but designed to produce an exclusive sym-

phony. The end-user or interior designer will decide which one.

Thanks to this way of conceiving the design, LAGO creates a shared

way of creating the value of the components and it moves the focus

from the designer to the user. The value of the LAGO design derives

from specifically asking the user to contribute.

L A CCAT OL ACQUEREDIl laccato è una finitura molto solida e

rassicurante, perfetta per case molto

pratiche e funzionali. Può essere de-

clinato in tantissimi colori e rimane un

materiale molto democratico.

The lacquer finish is extremely solid

and quite reassuring particularly for

very practical and functional homes. It

comes in many colors and it is a mate-

rial that suites everyone’s tastes.

T ES S U T OFABRICIl tessuto, la vera novità, porta un cambio

di paradigma nelle case: teso chiude un

volume che fa perdere completamente la

percezione delle ante. Sembra quasi una

scatola magica. Il tessuto si lascia cambiare

negli anni con estrema facilità introducen-

do, per la prima volta, la concezione di un

arredamento vestibile.

The fabric, which is the real novelty, brings

a paradigm change in homes: when taut it

completely embraces the component giv-

ing the impression that there are no doors.

It almost looks like a magical box. The fab-

ric can be easily changed over the years

and this introduces, for the very first time,

a new concept of dressable furniture.

Wood stimulates emotions, it is warm

and welcoming. Its true value is seen

as time passes and in everyday use.

The Wildwood version has a primordial

essence, in which scars and flaws make

it the ambassador of truth.

VETROG L AS SIl vetro ha la capacità di scomparire o di

dare profondità e movimento al colore.

È luminoso ed elegante, ma anche igie-

nico e molto resistente. Conserva inal-

terata nel tempo la sua bellezza.

Glass has the ability of disappearing or

to give depth and movement to color.

It is luminous and elegant but also

hygienic and resistant. It preserves its

beauty over time.

LAGO is a brand that has always considered itself the Ambassador

of colors. It provides 22 diferent colors to decorate and give voice to

each home’s personality. This year we’ve introduced 9 new tones in

our collection. They are elegant and timeless tones that add a touch

of sophistication.

Grazie alla collaborazione con Novacolor, azienda leader nelle finitu-

re murarie, i nuovi colori LAGO possono essere anche declinati sulle

pareti della stanza per creare un ambiente armonioso e coerente.

Thanks to the collaboration with Novacolor, a leading company in

wall finishes, the new LAGO colors can be applied to room walls in

order to create a harmonious and coherent setting.

SLIDEdesign Daniele Lago

Slide è un parquet che esce decisamente dallo schema del classico

listone. L’idea alla base del concept è un rettangolo tagliato in due da

una diagonale che genera due trapezi rettangoli che, combinati fra

loro in modalità diverse, danno vita a moltissime altre configurazioni.

La collezione Slide è composta da 3 trapezi progettati con l’intento

di creare un insieme equilibrato, ma sempre diverso. In qualunque

modo si combinino, essi formeranno un design sempre “interessan-

te”. Mixando il modulo 2 con il modulo 3, si darà vita ad un pavimen-

to aperiodico che genera una sensazione di casualità di forme che

apparentemente sembrano molte, ma in realtà sono solamente due.

Slide is a parquet that definitely stands out form the classic plank.

The idea behind this concept is a rectangle cut in two by a diagonal

which creates two rectangular trapezoids. They are then combined

together in diferent formats thus creating many other configura-

tions. The Slide collection consists of 3 trapezoids developed with

the aim of creating a balanced but consistently diferent efect. They

always create an “interesting” design regardless of the way they are

placed together. Mixing module 2 with module 3 creates an irregular

floor that generates a sensation of random shapes which appear to

be many but in actual fact are only two.

La scelta di introdurre il legno tra le finiture disponibili nasce da una

volontà di verità. Non c’è materiale più vero del legno. È ancestrale,

caldo, accogliente. Trasmette immediatamente forti emozioni, per-

ché è vivo e la sua natura viene esaltata dallo scorrere del tempo.

Accanto al legno del pavimento Slide, quest’anno entra in collezione

Wildwood, un rovere vissuto e primordiale. È come se avessimo rac-

colto il tronco di un legno portato sulla spiaggia dalla mareggiata e

l’avessimo utilizzato per creare mensole, tavoli, testiere, top.

La finitura Wildwood ha una texture che esalta le venature naturali

del legno e manifesta i segni dell’usura e del passare del tempo. Ogni

tavola di legno è diversa dall’altra, per questo ogni prodotto acquista

una personalità unica e irripetibile.

The decision to introduce wood finishes stems from a desire for

truth. There is no material that can be considered more real than

wood. It is ancestral, warm and welcoming. It immediately gives

strong emotions because it is alive and its nature is enhanced by the

passing of time. In this year’s collection we’ve introduced Wildwood,

a live and primordial oak alongside our wooden floor Slide. It’s as if

we picked up a tree trunk on a beach brought by a storm and used it

to create shelves, tables headboards and tops.

The Wildwood has a textured finish that enhances the natural grain

of wood and shows signs of wear and the passage of time. Each

piece of wood is diferent, as a result each product acquires a unique

and unrepeatable personality.

Fare mobili con del tessuto rappresenta un cambio di pensiero to-

tale sia nel modo di concepire che di utilizzare gli ambienti. In un

certo senso, è il concetto stesso di mobile a venire rivoluzionato, in

quanto non è più qualcosa di statico, ma diventa un elemento che

muta. Questo tipo di approccio del contenere introduce, per la prima

volta, la concezione di un arredamento vestibile. I tessuti, di fattura

eccellente, permettono una personalizzazione veloce e semplice a

seconda delle aree della casa, della stagione, o solamente per sfizio.

Nel 2012, la collezione Et Voilà, si perfeziona nella struttura e si arric-

chisce di un nuovo tessuto a righe – Stratus – abbinabile anche alle

testiere dei letti e ai divani Air.

Making furniture with fabric represents a total change in mentality

in both the way rooms are conceived and used. In a certain sense the

concept of furniture is revolutionized because it is no longer static; it

becomes a moving element.

This containment approach introduces, for the first time, the con-

cept of dressable furniture. The fabrics, which are made from excel-

lent workmanship, allow for fast and easy customization depending

on the diferent areas of the house, the seasons or simply just for

fun. In the 2012 collection Et Voilà’s structure is perfected and is en-

riched by a new striped fabric - Stratus - which can also be used on

headboards and Air couches.

Quella della sospensione è una via che abbiamo intrapreso molto

tempo fa. Un percorso che, oggi, si spinge ad esplorare una dimen-

sione finora mai sfruttata della casa: il sofitto.

Librerie e contenitori scendono dall’alto come stalattiti e creano un

efetto di sospensione surreale.

È un modo assolutamente nuovo di concepire il mobile per il living

che permette di dare vita ad architetture di volumi, pieni o vuoti, che

separano le stanze in modo originale ed elegante.

Suspension is a path we took a long time ago. A path which today

moves on to explore a dimension within the home that hadn’t yet

been exploited: the ceiling.

Bookcases and containers come down like stalactites and create a

surreal suspension efect.

It is a completely new way of conceiving furniture used in living

quarters which gives life to architectural settings, whether they be

full or empty, and that divides rooms in an original and elegant way.

Le mensole 30mm/LagoLinea Weightless scendono

dal sofitto come stalattiti. Si tratta di una soluzione

molto aerea ed elegante per organizzare e dividere

l’ambiente. Le mensole possono essere rifinite con

schienali in vetro extrachiaro, che accentua l’efetto di

trasparenza, vetro laccato o legno laccato.

The 30mm/LagoLinea Weightless shelves come down

from the ceiling like stalactites. This design provides

a particularly aerial and elegant way of dividing the

room. The shelves can be finished in ultra-clear glass

backboards which accentuates the transparency ef-

fect, whether it be lacquered glass or wood.

36e8 Weightless nasce da un’inconsueta esplorazione

del sistema 36e8. Per la prima volta i moduli sfruttano

il sofitto come parete di aggancio e creano un efet-

to di sospensione estrema. L’efetto è di un paesaggio

surreale che gioca con spazi e volumi.

36e8 Weightless is based on an unusual exploration

of the 36e8 system. For the first time modules use the

ceiling as a wall attachment and create an extreme

suspension efect. The end result is a surreal land-

scape that plays with space and volume.

Un foglio sottilissimo di 2 mm appoggia su quattro

solide gambe e si deforma quasi plasmandosi sotto

il peso di mani e avambracci. Una piacevole sorpresa

per chi vi si appoggia. Le gambe, rivestite in legno,

sono disegnate con linee essenziali, mentre il top lac-

cato è in policarbonato.

A very thin 2 mm sheet rests on four solid legs and

practically shapes itself under the weight of one’s

hands and forearms. A pleasant surprise for those

who lean on it. The legs, which are covered in wood,

are designed with essential lines while the lacquered

top is made of polycarbonate.

TAVOLO AIRWILDWOODdesign Daniele Lago

Il Tavolo Air Wildwood è un tavolo caldo e leggero,

realizzato a partire da un rovere vissuto. Nelle teste

il legno viene lavorato in modo da creare una cavità

che lascia intravedere la sezione del tronco e mostra

l’anima del legno o, in alternativa, può essere rivestita

in vetro colorato. Come nei tavoli Air, anche nel tavo-

lo Air Wildwood le gambe sono in vetro extrachiaro.

The Air Wildwood Table is a warm and light table

made fundamentally from live oak. It is processed in

such a way as to create a cavity which opens towards

a section of the trunk and as a result it shows the soul

of the wood or, alternatively, it can be coated in color-

ed glass. As with the Air tables, the Air Wildwood ta-

ble legs are made of extra-clear glass as well.

SLASHdesign Leonardo Fortino/LAGOSTUDIO

Slash interpreta in modo contemporaneo il concetto

di equilibrio e solidità, alternando sensazioni visive e

tattili opposte. La discontinuità tra il vetro e l’acciaio

laccato è il punto di forza di un tavolo che grazie all’ac-

costamento tra pieni e vuoti sembra apparentemente

tagliato quasi a sottolineare il passaggio di un samu-

rai. La semplicità e la pulizia delle linee rappresentano

un valore aggiunto che permette di inserire il tavolo in

qualsiasi contesto.

Slash interprets the modern concept of both bal-

ance and strength while alternating opposite visual

and tactile sensations. The discontinuity between the

glass and lacquered steel is the focal point of the ta-

ble. The solid parts and empty spaces placed along-

side each other give the impression that the table has

been cut clean as if a samurai had cut it while passing

by. The simplicity and flawless lines are added fea-

tures that allow you to fit the table in any context.

COLLEZIONE JOYNTdesign Harry Owen/LAGOSTUDIO

Contemporanei e versatili, la sedia e gli sgabelli Joynt

sono arredi snodabili. Grazie a un giunto in gomma

integrato nella struttura in legno assecondano il mo-

vimento del corpo. La gamba dello sgabello permette

un leggero dondolio, mentre lo schienale della sedia si

flette all’indietro, supportando il dorso e restituendo

una sensazione di grande comfort. Si adattano a qual-

siasi ambiente.

The Joynt chair and stools are contemporary and versa-

tile jointed furniture. The rubber joint which is integrat-

ed in the wooden structure facilitates the body’s move-

ment. The stool leg enables a slight rocking motion and

the chair’s back can be bent backwards in order to give

the back support an overall sense of comfort.

L’idea alla base del concept è un rettangolo tagliato

in due da una diagonale che genera due trapezi ret-

tangoli che combinati fra di loro in modalità diverse

generano moltissime configurazioni. È il fruitore finale

che decide come configurarli tra di loro. In qualunque

modo si combinino i trapezi, essi formeranno un de-

sign sempre “interessante”. I moduli sfruttano un si-

stema di giunzione col velcro.

The concept is founded on the idea of a rectangle cut

in two by a diagonal that generates two rectangular

trapezoids which can be combined in myriad ways to

generate a real multiplicity of configurations.

It is up to the final user to decide how to arrange them.

Whichever way you combine the trapezoids, they will

always form an intriguing pattern.

The modules are joined through a Velcro system.

36e8 RUGdesign Daniele Lago

36e8 Rug è un tappeto che nel concept riprende i mo-

duli del 36e8 Lago. I moduli sono configurabili a piaci-

mento, in verticale, in orizzontale e in obliquo.

Vengono agganciati fra di loro tramite un sistema di

giunzione che sfrutta il velcro. Disponibili in due fini-

ture (Flat e Curly) e in vari colori.

The concept of the 36e8 Rug picks up on that of the

36e8 Lago modules. The modules can be configured

as you wish, vertically, horizontally and diagonally.

They are attached to one another through a Velcro

system. Available in two finishes (Flat and Curly) and

a variety of colours.

Il letto Wildwood unisce la trasparenza del vetro al

calore del legno. La testiera in un rovere vissuto può

essere impreziosita da una fascia in tessuto e perso-

nalizzata con delle fasce in vetro ai lati. In qualsiasi

punto della testiera possono essere agganciati com-

plementi rivestiti in tessuto che fungono da comodini

e portaoggetti. Le gambe sono in vetro extrachiaro. Il

pianale è in HPL.

The Wildwood bed combines the glass’ transparen-

cy with the wood’s warmth. The live oak headboard

is embellished by a personalized fabric band and can

be customized with glass bands on the sides. Fabric

dressed accessories that can serve as side tables and

object containers can be attached anywhere on the

headboard. The legs come in extra-clear glass. The

platform is made of HPL.

Et Voilà è un nuovo sistema di storage nato dalla vo-

glia di rivedere il paradigma del contenere, domestico e

non, e introdurre nuove modalità di fruizione del mobi-

le. Un tessuto teso chiude un volume facendo perdere

completamente la percezione delle ante. Sembra qua-

si una scatola magica, dove la superficie indefinita dà

a chi la guarda un senso di straniamento. Le classiche

ante in laccato e vetro sono sparite e al loro posto trova

spazio un’unica anta in tessuto, lunga quanto tutta la

struttura. L’armadio Et Voilà a terra oltre che con men-

sole e cestoni, può essere accessoriato con un albero

metallico porta-indumenti che ruota. Regolando l’altez-

za degli snodi dell’albero e la rotazione dei rami si gesti-

scono gli spazi, dando vita a un prodotto che si muove e

cresce con la persona, nel segno dell’usabilità.

Et Voilà is a new storage system developed with the

intention of looking at the paradigm of ‘containing’, for

both home and non-home purposes, from a diferent

point of view and to introduce new ways of using fur-

niture. Taut fabric has the ability of closing furniture to

the point that the perception of any doors disappears.

The end result is that it almost looks like a magic box

whose indefinite surface gives the viewer a sense of es-

trangement. The classic lacquer doors and glass have

disappeared giving way to a single fabric-coated door

that is as long as the length of the furniture. The Et

Voilà wardrobe not only has shelves and drawers but it

can also be fitted with a rotating metal shaft for holding

clothes. The height of the shaft’s joints and its branches

can be adjusted thus creating the space that is need-

ed; a product that moves and changes along with one’s

personal requirements, in the name of usability.

ratteristiche di New Air: la leggerezza estrema delle

gambe in vetro, la possibilità di agganciare al pianale

librerie e schienali.

The New Air headboard comes in a new striped fab-

ric which can be matched to the front of the Et Voilà

wardrobe. The other New Air features, such as the ex-

treme lightness of the glass legs and the possibility

of attaching bookcases and backs remain unchanged.

Il sistema Et Voilà può essere sospeso a parete, ca-

ratteristica che, nel mondo delle armadiature, rappre-

senta senza dubbio una rivoluzione. Così come quel-

la della vestibilità applicata all’arredo. Et Voilà è come

un prodotto di sartoria, cucito sulla personalità del

padrone di casa e sulle esigenze del quotidiano che,

nella società di oggi, mutano molto rapidamente. Da

quest’anno si aggiunge ai tessuti disponibili una nuo-

va finitura a righe, Stratus, che ha tre fantasie.

The Et Voilà system can be placed on the wall. This is

a feature that in the world of wardrobes can certainly

The Linea bed, which was developed from our Lago-

Linea design system, is ideal for children’s bedrooms.

The structure of the bed is designed by a single line

and a big pillow placed in the bed’s frame becomes a

soft headboard. Few frills for a bed that is sold at a

competitive price and can turn into bunk beds as well.

Fluttua è un letto sospeso, regolabile in altezza e di-

sponibile nelle forme rotonda e rettangolare. Fluttua

è il letto dal quale abbiamo tolto il superfluo lascian-

do spazio al pensiero. La caratteristica del prodotto

è quella di avere solo una gamba centrale e di essere

composto da un pianale di spessore 8 mm abbinato

a una solida struttura in ferro da fissare alla parete.

Fluttua: pianale rete con struttura. Comodini 36e8, ve-

tro lucido laccato bianco, salvia.

Fluttua is a suspended, height-adjustable bed avail-

able in round and rectangular models. The Flut-

tua bed eliminates everything superfluous to

leave more room for thought. The characteris-

tic of the product is its single, height-adjustable

central leg and 8 mm thick layer base combined

with a solid iron structure anchored to the wall.

Stiletto is a bed as light as a flying carpet. A soft fabric

binding runs along the entire bed perimeter. Elegant

zig zag stitching adds a finishing touch to the head-

board, while the ash wood legs can be covered in the

same fabric as the bed. Platform and headboard cov-

ered in removable organic cotton.

Kussin è un letto semplice, morbido, accogliente. Un

vano ricavato tra il materasso e una piccola testiera

accoglie due grandi cuscini semplicemente appoggia-

ti. Grazie a questa sua semplicità, Kussin è un letto

economicamente competitivo. Pianale, testiera e cu-

scini rivestiti in cotone ecologico sfoderabile.

Kussin is a simple, soft and welcoming bed. A hollow

created between the mattress and the small head-

board hosts two oversized pillows, simply arranged.

Thanks to this simplicity, Kussin is a competitively

priced bed. Platform, headboard and cushions are

covered in removable ecological cotton.

Come è possibile progettare un letto che sia comodo

e accogliente come un nido? Il risultato è un anello di

“soft foam” intorno al materasso che può essere arro-

tolato e srotolato come il collo di un dolcevita. Questa

soluzione crea una barriera visiva e sonora dove una

persona può rilassarsi ed evadere dalla routine quo-

tidiana. La modalità di utilizzo può essere scelta po-

sizionando il “collare” da aperto a semichiuso a com-

pletamente chiuso per uno spazio ancora più intimo.

L’anello flessibile ha un sistema di aggancio rapido

nella parte inferiore per unirlo alla rete ed è, inoltre,

sfoderabile. Arrotolalo come un colletto e vivi la “dolce

vita”! Col-letto: rete ortopedica con rivestimento con

tessuto Stretch bicolore. Comodini, vetro lucido, rive-

How to make a bed that is comfortable and cosy, like

a nest? The result is a soft foam ring around the mat-

tress which can be rolled up or down like a pullover

collar. This creates a visual and sound barrier where a

person can relax, distant from everyday life. The mood

can be set with the bending of the collar, from open

to half-closed to completely enclosed private space.

Diferent and interesting shapes can be created. The

flex ring has an easy fitting system on the lower part

that clips it to the slats. The ring upholstery (stretch

N.O.W. is an infinitely customizable wardrobe. It is a

wardrobe that disappears and integrates perfectly

with the architecture of the home, hiding itself be-

tween the walls. With an innovative use of colour

and a system so flexible and versatile as to be to

the measure of anyone’s desire. The modular bands,

from 21 to 115 cm, with multiple intermediate widths,

create the design of the wardrobe, providing a new

visual rhythm and, what’s more, there is an innovative

system for opening the doors that eliminates handles,

camouflaging N.O.W. with the architecture of the walls

or creating new chromatic moods in harmony with the

surrounding setting. And so it hides a solution that is

customizable to the centimetre, in terms of dimension

but also of sensation: each band can in fact be in a

Dietro ad ogni oggetto c’è una storia. La sedia Scho-

ol nasce dalla voglia di rievocare momenti indimen-

ticabili della nostra esistenza, che fanno parte della

memoria storica di tutti noi, come il primo giorno di

scuola. Il rivestimento in pelle nobilita questo classi-

co dell’arredo scolastico che trova la sua collocazione

non solo nelle camerette, ma anche in qualunque altro

ambiente della casa.

There is a story behind every object. The School chair

was born from the desire to recall the unforgettable

moments in our lives, ones that form a part of the

history of each and every one of us, like the first day

of school. The eco-leather covering revisits a classic

of scholastic furnishing that finds its ideal home not

only in children’s bedrooms, but works excellently in

any room.

Una sedia dall’aspetto leggero, ma materico. Nella

struttura in alluminio vengono calzate, con un siste-

ma di assemblaggio a baionetta, una serie di fette di

feltro industriale che vanno a formare seduta e schie-

nale. È una sedia caratterizzata da rigore e pulizia for-

male, attenta anche all’ecosostenibilità. L’alluminio e

il feltro sono, infatti, materiali interamente riciclabili.

A seat light in appearance, but substantial. A series of

industrial felt strips are fitted to the aluminium struc-

ture using a bayonet assembly system, to thereby

form the seat and seatback. It is a seat characterized

by formal rigour and purity, and also attentive to eco-

sustainability. The aluminium and felt are, in fact, en-

tirely recyclable materials.

Chama takes its cue from cushions and a futon. The

mattress can be folded or laid flat, and according to

need Chama transforms into a sofa and a double bed

or an armchair and single bed. It can also become a

comfy chaise lounge.

A thin and tapered metal profile makes up the legs,

seat and back rest of a chair that likes its clothes to

fit like a glove. Dangla alternates between contrasting

sensations: attractive for its rigorous lines, seductive

for its scanty clothing, it invites swinging. Three types

of fabric are available: smooth, crinkly or zippered.

Un materasso avvolto e infilato in una piccola base ci-

lindrica in legno. Questa è l’accogliente e pratica pol-

trona Huggy. La presa dell’anello di base stringe la

parte inferiore del materasso tenendolo unito e crean-

do una avvolgente seduta con morbidi braccioli. Sfi-

lando la base, il materasso si srotola automaticamente

e diventa all’occorrenza un comodo letto d’emergenza

per gli ospiti. La base si capovolge e diventa, invece,

un utile comodino.

A mattress wrapped around and slipped on a small

wooden cylindrical base. This is the inviting and prac-

tical Huggy armchair. The grip of the ring base clench-

es the lower part of the mattress, keeping it united

and creating an inviting seat with soft arms. Slipping

of the base, the mattress automatically unrolls to be-

come a comfortable emergency be for guests. The

base then flips over to become a useful nightstand.

Trestle è un tavolo allungabile che ribalta il concet-

to di prolunga. Le prolunghe sono spesso nascoste,

mentre in Trestle sono le prolunghe stesse a sorreg-

Trestle is an extendable table that overturns the con-

cept of elongation. Table extensions are usually hid-

den, whereas in Trestle the table is supported by the

extensions themselves. It is composed of three ele-

ments: two independent extensions and one bent

metal surface for the top. Opening it up is very simple.

The extensions have three legs each and, once dis-

tanced from one another, they align perfectly with the

support surface.

Lastika assomiglia a una margherita. Sedendovi, veni-

te accolti dai quaranta elastici che costituiscono la se-

duta e avete la sensazione di ondeggiare, nonostante

la struttura della sedia sia comunque molto stabile. È

una sedia divertente e confortevole, molto leggera e...

impilabile!

Lastika resembles a flower, in fact a daisy. When you

sit in it, you are supported by forty elastics that make

up the seat and create a rocking sensation, although

the structure of the chair is in fact very stable. It is a

fun and comfortable seat, very lightweight and can be

easily stacked.

Il concetto da cui nasce Morgana è quello della mo-

bilità. Ampi cassetti sovrapposti l’uno all’altro nella

completa libertà di movimento. Tutte le composizio-

ni godono di infinite possibilità di abbinamento cro-

matico e d’accostamento di accessori. Un armonioso

sovrapporsi di funzionalità ed eleganza, ideale sia per

la zona giorno sia per la zona notte, imperniato su di

una inedita particolarità costruttiva: un giunto inter-

no consente ad ogni cassetto di ruotare e slittare in

quattro direzioni.

The concept at the basis of Morgana is movement.

Capacious drawers set one above the other with total

freedom of movement. All the solutions provide end-

less option in terms of colour combinations and ac-

cessories. The Morgana chest of drawers is handy and

elegant and is just perfect for your living room or bed-

room. It is based on a unique structural design feature

an internal joint which enables each drawer to rotate

and slide laterally in four directions.

DIVANO MODULARE

MODULAR SOFA

LAGO è riuscita ad applicare il concetto di modularità

all’imbottito, rendendone molto veloce la riconfigura-

zione a seconda delle esigenze. Gli schienali-braccioli

si agganciano al telaio in alluminio anodizzato grazie

a un attacco rapido, progettato e brevettato da LAGO.

La stafa in alluminio si aggancia al telaio con un sem-

plice click e può essere facilmente sganciata premen-

do un’apposita levetta.

Per facilitare il posizionamento delle sedute è stato

progettato un sistema di aggancio rapido con mec-

canismi a molla che rende semplice e intuitiva l’ope-

razione di montaggio e riconfigurazione del divano.

Il meccanismo è dotato di un dispositivo di sicurezza

che blocca le sedute al telaio una volta scelta la posi-

zione preferita. È realizzato con un innovativo biopoli-

mero che deriva in parte da risorse naturali rinnovabili

(olio di ricino) e si caratterizza per le elevate presta-

zioni meccaniche.

LAGO has succeeded in applying the concept of mod-

ularity to upholstery, making reconfigurations ac-

cording to need quick and easy. The seatbacks-arms

fasten to the anodized aluminium frame thanks to a

quick attachment, designed and patented by LAGO.

The aluminium strap fastens to the frame with a sim-

ple click and can be easily unfastened by pressing a

special lever.

To facilitate the positioning of the seats, a quick fas-

tening system was designed using spring mecha-

nisms that make the assembly and reconfiguration of

the sofa simple and intuitive. The mechanism has a

safety device that locks the seat to the frame as soon

as the preferred position has been decided. It is made

with an innovative biopolymer that is derived from re-

newable sources (castor oil) and is characterized by

increased mechanical performance.

la sua vera forza. Gli schienali e i cuscini delle sedute

sono completamente intercambiablili, regalando così

un volto sempre nuovo al divano. È una rivoluzione

in termini spaziali ed estetici, ma anche ergonomici:

ognuno può scegliere la profondità della seduta e l’al-

tezza dello schienale che più soddisfano. Le gambe in

vetro contribuiscono a rendere l’imbottito estrema-

mente aereo, conferendo ulteriore leggerezza all’am-

biente nel quale viene inserito.

The Air upholstery system finds its real strength in

its ability to be transformed. The backs and the seat

cushions are completely interchangeable, thus giving

spatial and aesthetic terms, but also from the ergo-

nomic point of view: anybody can choose the depth

of the seats and the height of backs he/she likes the

most. The glass legs contribute to transforme the up-

holstery into something extremely aerial, giving fur-

ther lightness to the environment where it is placed.

La cucina 36e8 LAGO si fa notare non solamente per il

design, ma anche per la particolare modularità che si

basa sul quadrato 36,8 x 36,8. Una formula inconsue-

ta per l’ambiente cucina che supera le configurazioni

standard, dove il contenimento è dettato dagli elet-

trodomestici (multipli di 15 o 30cm). In questo modo

si possono trovare soluzioni inconsuete giocando con

i linguaggi figurativi e astratti. Il che si traduce in una

personalizzazione senza limiti. Attenzione particolare

è stata posta, nel processo di sviluppo, all’ergonomia,

perché il design dev’essere al servizio dell’uomo e non

viceversa. La dispensa N.O.W. è, invece, il completa-

mento ideale di una cucina che, integrando sia il forno

che il frigo, ofre il massimo contenimento con il mini-

mo ingombro.

The 36e8 LAGO kitchens stand out not only for their

design, but also for their peculiar modularity based

on the 36,8 x 36,8 square. An unusual formula for the

kitchen environment, which goes over the standard

configurations where electrical appliances dictated

the rules of containment (multiples of 15 or 30). In this

way, atypical solutions can be found by just playing

with figurative or abstract languages, which translate

into a personalization with no limits. During the prod-

uct development process we paid a special attention

to ergonomics, because design needs to be at the

man’s service and not vice versa. The NOW cupboard,

instead, is the ideal completion of a kitchen which, by

integration both fridge and oven, ofers a maximum

containment with the minimum overall dimensions.

Le cucine LAGO sono state progettate pensando

all’interazione tra uomo e oggetto. Sia le basi che i

pensili possono essere posizionati al millimetro ri-

spettando così in modo preciso le misure ergonomi-

che. Grazie alla lavastoviglie sospesa si può raggiun-

gere il cestello senza bisogno di inchinarsi. I cestoni e

i cassetti sono estraibili per la totale profondità delle

basi, un accorgimento che permette di avere tutto a

portata di mano.

LAGO kitchens were designed with the interaction be-

tween people and objects in mind. Both the base com-

ponents and the wall components can be positioned

to the millimetre, thereby respecting, in a precise way,

ergonomic measurements. Thanks to the suspended

dishwasher, one can reach the rack without having to

bend over. The bins and drawers can be pulled out the

entire depth of the base components, a contrivance

that allows everything to be within easy reach.

Everything changes and is transformed. The Tangram

bookcase is based on an ancient Chinese game of sev-

en geometric shapes which derive from a square de-

composition. It symbolizes a philosophy of life which is

linked to the constant changing of things, the famous

�� ��a-re��, everything changes and is transformed.

The object remains the same - a square divided into

seven parts - but the combinations are endless.

30mm is the slender thickness of the sides of the

LAGO bookshelf system that, thanks to a special and

patented wall attachment, can be mounted on the wall

and also suspended. The innovation of 30mm con-

sists in having revolutionized the concept of the static

grid bookshelf. Thanks to the suspension of the sides,

they do not have structural constraints that limit ex-

pressive capacity. We are imagining, therefore, being

able to build a bookshelf on a grid that permits the

creation of figurative or classical outlines, always con-

noted by exceptional lightness. The ease with which

many companies have been “ inspired” by 30mm led

t! "��#a�$ to give the product a new push, distanc-

ing itself from the grid bookshelf in favour of a single

line, LagoLinea to be precise, that designs, tells and

contains. Its strong point lies in the potential to trans-

form a wall through a simple gesture: a line.

Et Voilà è un nuovo sistema di storage nato dalla vo-

glia di rivedere il paradigma del contenere, domestico

e non, e introdurre nuove modalità di fruizione del mo-

bile. Un tessuto teso chiude un volume facendo per-

dere completamente la percezione delle ante. Sembra

quasi una scatola magica, dove la superficie indefinita

dà a chi la guarda un senso di straniamento. Le clas-

siche ante in laccato e vetro sono sparite e al loro po-

sto trova spazio un’unica anta in tessuto, lunga quanto

tutta la struttura. Estremamente personalizzabile, Et

Voilà è trasversale ad ogni ambiente della casa (zona

notte – zona giorno – cucina – living – studio – camere

– camerette – bagno). Sospendibile a parete.

Et Voilà is a new storage system born from the desire

to revise the container paradigm, domestic and oth-

erwise, and introduce new ways for making the most

of furniture. A taut piece of fabric encloses and cre-

ates a space, completely eliminating the perception

of shutters. It almost seems like a magic box, where

the undefined surface produces a sense of estrange-

ment in whoever is looking at it. The classic shutters

in paint and glass have disappeared and in their place

one finds a single shutter, as long as the whole of the

structure. Extremely personalizable, Et Voilà works in

every room of the house (night–time area – daytime

area – kitchen – living room – study – bedroom – chil-

Quando abbiamo iniziato l’avventura Appartamento, in occasio-

ne del Salone del Mobile del 2009, non potevamo immaginare che

quell’idea di arredare un anonimo appartamento di via Tortona con i

nostri mobili e andarci a vivere aprendo le porte a chiunque volesse

visitarlo, ci avrebbe portato così lontano.

Invece il progetto Appartamento continua a raccogliere adesioni. Da

dicembre 2011 a marzo di quest’anno abbiamo aperto altri 4 appar-

tamenti. Tra di essi c’è il primo Appartamento LAGO all’estero, in

Spagna. Un progetto che c’era già, in nuce, quando in occasione del

Salone del Mobile 2010, Mariano, il tenant, si innamorò dell’atmosfe-

ra dell’Appartamento di via Brera 30 e decise di ricrearla a casa sua,

ad Alicante.

Gli altri tre appartamenti li abbiamo aperti in Italia: a Torino Venaria,

il secondo appartamento del Piemonte, a Bolzano, un bellissimo atti-

co di vetro con vista sulla città e a San Vito dei Normanni, una tipica

casa mediterranea con i muri bianchi e un cortile interno.

When we launched our ‘Apartment‘ adventure in 2009 during the

‘Salone del Mobile’ we could not have imagined that the idea of de-

corating a bland apartment in Via Tortona with our furniture, and

actually living there and opening our doors to anyone who wanted

to visit, would have taken us this far.

Instead, the ‘Apartment’ project continues to be quite popular. From

December 2011 to March of this year we launched another four

apartments. Amongst them is the first LAGO apartment opened

abroad, in Spain. This project in Spain began on the occasion of the

Salone del Mobile 2010 when the tenant, Mariano, fell in love with

the Via Brera 30 Apartment’s atmosphere and decided to recreate it

at home in Alicante.

We launched the other three apartments in Italy: In Turin Venaria,

the second apartment in Piedmont, in Bolzano, a beautiful glass

penthouse overlooking the city and one in San Vito dei Normanni, a

typical Mediterranean house with white walls and a courtyard.

APPARTAMENTO LAGOSELECTED FOR ADI INDEx 2011

Il progetto Appartamento nasce nel 2009 come temporary

showroom LAGO allestito in una casa privata, durante il Fuori-

salone in zona Tortona. Incontrare il pubblico nell’intimità di un

appartamento arredato con i prodotti LAGO decreta il successo

del progetto, che viene replicato nel 2010 in una residenza di via

Brera. L’idea di Temporary Showroom muta e viene estesa alla

vita quotidiana: da un anno l’Appartamento è abitato da tre Te-

nant che organizzano regolarmente eventi e presentazioni. Un

case-history replicato già in altre 9 città: Venezia, Torino, Bolo-

gna, Riccione, Bergamo, San Vito dei Normanni, Bolzano, Genova

e, all’estero, Alicante.

The Appartamento project was born in 2009 as a temporary

LAGO showroom set up in a private residence during the Fuor-

isalone in the Tortona district. Encountering the public in the in-

timacy of an apartment furnished with LAGO products decreed

the success of the project, which was then replicated in 2010 in

a residence on Via Brera. The idea of a Temporary Showroom

mutated and was extended to daily life: for one year, three Ten-

ants lived in the Appartamento and organized regular events

and presentations. This case-study was replicated in 9 other cit-

ies: Venice, Turin, Bologna, Riccione, Bergamo, San Vito dei Nor-

manni, Bolzano, Genoa and, abroad, Alicante.

Prende il via, ad aprile, il bando per partecipare a LAGOSTUDIO 2012

dedicato interamente al prodotto. I designer selezionati lavoreranno

per oltre 10 giorni a stretto contatto con Daniele Lago, il suo team e

l’uficio tecnico per sviluppare proposte innovative di prodotto.

Partecipare all’edizione 2012 di LAGOSTUDIO è semplice: ai designer

è richiesto l’invio di un curriculum e di un portaolio di progetti svi-

luppati nel settore arredo secondo le modalità del bando, che sarà

disponibile fino al 2 maggio sul sito www.lago.it/lagostudio.

Dopo questa data le candidature verranno sottoposte al vaglio di

una giuria presieduta da Daniele Lago e composta da personalità

del mondo del design. La giuria si riunirà nella prima settimana di

maggio e procederà alla selezione dei 10 progettisti che partecipe-

ranno al workshop.

Alla fine del workshop l’azienda selezionerà i progetti più interessan-

ti per procedere alla loro prototipazione, produzione e commercializ-

zazione, riconoscendo ai designer un compenso economico.

As from April, we invite designers to participate in LAGOSTUDIO

2012 which is dedicated entirely to products. The chosen designers

will work for more than 10 days with Daniele Lago, his team and the

Engineering Ofice to develop innovative product proposals.

It is very simple to participate in the LAGOSTUDIO 2012 edition: de-

signers are asked to send their resume and a portfolio of the projects

they’ve developed in the furniture industry as is stated in the adver-

tisement which will be available as of the 2nd of May on our websi-

te: www.lago.it/lagostudio. After this date the applications will be

scrutinized by a jury chaired by Daniele Lago and made up of people

working in the world of design. The jury will meet during the first

week of May and will then select the 10 designers that will participa-

te in the workshop.

At the end of the workshop the company will select the most intere-

sting projects and will proceed to their prototyping, production and

marketing. The chosen designers will be financially rewarded.

Funzionamento:

1) Azionando una leva posta sotto le prolunghe

si alzano delle ruote che staccano il top dalle

prolunghe che così posso essere estratte.

2) Entrambe le prolunghe possono essere estratte

in modo indipendente fino alla misura desiderata.

Quando sono aperte del tutto il top è a filo dello

spessore delle prolunghe; in posizioni intermedie il

top è appoggiato sulle prolunghe creando un

dislivello di 2 mm. Un cavo in acciaio nascosto

determina l’estrazione massima.

3) Con la stessa leva si abbassa il top.

Le prolunghe e il top non hanno elementi di unione

fissi, per spostare il tavolo è quindi necessario

essere in più persone.

Operation:

1) By triggering a lever placed under the extension

some wheels are raised detaching

the top off the extensions which can then be

extracted.

2) Both the extensions can be independently

extended up to desired length. When totally

extended the top is flush with extensions’

thickness; when in intermediate positions it’s

supported by the extensions creating a difference

in level of 2mm. A hidden steel cable determines

the maximum extraction.

3)The same lever is used to lower the top.

The extensions and the top have fixed junction

elements; to move the table is therefore necessary

to have more than one person.
