La Porte Elementary

Principal’s Portion Leopard Community,

To say we had an interesting start to the school year is an understatement. We are relieved most of community escaped with minimal damage from Harvey. As you are probably aware, October 5th and 6th will be full days of instruction. Also, December 21st and May 24 will be full days, as well. Our students returned from the event with a great attitude and we have not missed a step in instruction. Conferences will be a little different this year, so expect a letter or phone call from your student’s teacher. We welcome you to join your student for lunch. For safety reasons and lack of space, students may only eat with immediate family members: parents, guardians, grandparents and siblings that are listed on their contact form. Students may not have other students as guest for lunch at the visitor table. Thank you for your cooperation.
