SECTION 07515 MEMBRANE ROOFING - COLD APPLIED PART I - GENERAL 1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS The attached are components of this section:

1. General Conditions. 2. Supplemental Conditions. 3. Title 24 Cold Applied SBS Modified Roof System. 4. Hypalon/TPA Flashing.

1.02 SUMMARY/SCOPE OF WORK/PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS A. General:

1. Work required under this section consists of all roofing items necessary and required to complete removal and replacement work as indicated in the Contract Documents.

2. Contractor shall provide all items, articles, materials, operations, or methods listed, as specified herein and Scope of Work, including all labor, materials, equipment, services, roofing accessories, and incidentals necessary and required to remove existing roof system and replace with cold-applied built-up bituminous roof system as indicated on drawings.

3. Contractor shall field verify all dimensions and existing conditions.

4. Roofing Contractor to be responsible for installation of all roof related sheet metal flashing and reinforced hypalon flashing supplied by other trades or the roofing contractor.

B. GENERAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL ROOFING SYSTEMS:

1. La Canada Unified School District requires all roofing contractors and roofing manufacturer's to meet the listed minimum requirements of the District and this specification, any and all systems submitted must be identical to system specified in this specification. No alternate specifications or procedures will be allowed. Listed manufacturer's still must meet the minimum requirements of specifications.

2. Reinforce Hypalon flashing shall be installed to all walls, curbs, penetrations, unless specified for new metal flashing.

3. District requires the roof system to maintain continuity to existing new roof systems installed at school sites. If

the systems are now gravel, new system shall be gravel surface, if the roof system is modified granulated sheet, and new system shall be modified granulated sheet.

4. All materials used on La Canada Unified School District sites shall be 100% asbestos free.

5. All roof systems must be listed in U.L. Directory and have U.L. Class A Fire Rating, and F.M. approvals or acceptance, where required

6. Roofing Contractor and Roofing manufacturer must bid on identical system specified and not a different type of system or surfacing.

7 White Granulated Membrane must have the AEnergy Star Label@ and meet the requirements of Title 24, and have a minimum reflectance of 80%.

C. Work Included: the Scope of Work to be performed under this Section shall include, but is not limited to the following items. Scope of Work:

1. Remove existing roof system down to wood decks. 2. Remove and repair all damage wood decking. All areas to be

removed must be inspected and approved by District Representative. 3. Clean the deck of all foreign materials and debris.

4. Before starting any roofing work, wood deck surfaces shall be smooth, firm, clean, and dry and sweep deck clean.

5. Roofing contractor to be responsible for the installation of direct roof related details and flashing supplied by the roofing contractor or his sub-contractors and as required per the specification

6. Roof System Installation Over Nailed Base Sheet On Wood Decks:

a. Install one (1) ply rosin sheet and one (1) ply Burmastic Composite Ply Base Sheet to the wood deck with approved mechanical fasteners for that type of deck.

b. Install new tapered crickets behind curbs or platforms to achieve positive slope as necessary.

c. Install new two (2) ply Cold Applied Built-up of System over the adhered base sheet. The roof system shall consist of two (2) plies of Burmastic 28lb. Glass Base Sheets, set into PowerPly Adhesive, at a rate of 2½ to 3 gallons per 100 square feet, per ply.

d. Applied one (1) ply of PowerPly Standard FR GT-24 Modified Bitumen Sheet to membrane surface. Apply PowerPly Cold Adhesive at a rate of 2½ gallons per 100 square feet.

7. Flashing a. Install new hypalon, TPA or sheet metal flashing to all

pipes and penetrations, as required by roofing

manufacturer. Set the Membrane into Sheeting Bond Adhesive and seal with a five course of Rock-It Adhesive and Burmesh. TOP DRESS WITH WHITE GRANULES WITH ADHESIVE IS STILL “WET”

b. Reinforce all projection flanges with two ply targets of cold adhesive and Composite Ply Flashing Membrane (6" & 12"); seal penetration with a minimum 1" cant bead of Solargard Seam Sealer.

c. Flash in all support braces with Solargard Seam Sealer and Membrane.

d. Install Reinforced Hypalon/TPA Flashing to all base and curb flashing.

e. Install new 24 Gauge or better metal two piece flashing to heater ducts, with clamping collars.

f. All penetration flashing to have counter flashing umbrellas and clamping rings installed, with TF-Tape.

8. Edging a. Install 24 gauge sheet metal gravel stops edging

to the perimeter roof area on Building G Office/Library.

b. Seal all metal edging lap and butt plate joints with elastomeric mastic and membrane.

c. Seal new perimeter metal edging with a two ply target of one 6" ply and one ply of 12" composite flashing membrane, set in cold applied adhesive to metal flange and roof.

d. Seal outside edge of perimeter metal edge with Solargard Seam Sealer Sealant.

9. Miscellaneous Application Notes a. Seal the new metal counter flashing with

Tremseal D. b. Install metal, TPA or hypalon counter flashing

(umbrellas) to all penetrations. c. Replace all existing Roof T-Top Vents with new 24

gauge metal raised vent flashing. d. Install new vent covers to any vents missing

covers or caps. e. Install new wood blocks, with walk pads, under all

equipment legs or supports. Walkpads to be 2” greater than wood blocks, in all directions.

f. Install PolyFoil Tape to air conditioning seams as necessary.

10. Special General Notes a. Roofing contractor to be responsible for

installing all new penetration flashing supplied by other trades or sub-contractors. Roofing contractor will only install flashing that is to specifications and approved by La Canada Unified

School District and the approved roofing materials manufacturer. Roofing contractor will be responsible for rejecting all none approved flashing.

b. Roofing contractor to install and/or provide the following listed items: (1) Flashing and counter flashing; (2) Coping; (3) Gravel stops/roof edging; (4) Penetration through roof; (5) Existing sheet metal covered equipment

platforms; (6) Scuppers; (7) Expansion joints; (8) Pitch pan covers/caps; (9) Sheet metal drain boxes; (10) All related fasteners and sealant work; (11) All other flashing as required for a

complete watertight roof installation or as required by Architect or roofing manufacturer;

(12) Roof drain assemblies at new and existing roof drain locations.

c. Only install flashing that is approved by roof manufacturer.

d. Install 24 gauge or better sheet metal, 4 lb. lead flashing, or hypalon flashing on all new pipes, vents, conduits, refrigerant lines, and projections.

e. Sheet metal flashing where provided or indicated. 1.03 QUALITY CONTROL A. Contractor shall:

1. Has not been in Chapter 7 during the last ten (10) years. Be experienced in cold process built-up roofing. a. 5 years minimum.

2. Be acceptable by Owner. Be a Manufacturer Certified Contractor. Utilizing material manufacturer's technical inspectors, Contractor will acquire minimum number of inspection services days as required by material manufacturer and/or Owner. Provide list of at least 5 projects available for inspection employing same roof system.

a. Projects must be within 25 mile radius of Owner. 3. Contractor shall be approved by La Canada Unified

School District and Manufacturer as a qualified applicator.

1. Be Associate Member in good standing with National Roofing Contractors' Association (NRCA) for at least five (5) years.

2. Be approved by Owner. 3. Be nationally recognized in roofing, waterproofing,

and moisture survey industry. 4. The manufacturer must present to the Owner a

certificate of insurance for product liability with minimum limits of $25 million.

5. Has not been in Chapter 11 during the last five years. 6. The manufacturer must have a current net worth in

excess of $50 million and verify such by an affidavit from a corporate officer.

7. The building Owner is desirous of quality performance in all areas of roofing construction and as a result is requiring a primary source of material from one manufacturing company in order to insure consistent quality. The material manufacturer supplying material for the Owner's roofs must manufacture at least 70% of the materials they supply, by dollar volume, in facilities actually owned or solely leased by said manufacturer.

8. For the purpose of this specification, a manufacturer must: a. Own or lease a facility which manufactures major

roof system components for at least one year prior to the date of this specification.

b. Own or lease equipment to manufacture major roof system components and operate that equipment at a facility it owns or leases.

9. Provide a Project Closeout Report upon delivery of the project warranty. This report shall include the following sections: a. Project Specifications.

b. Project Summary.

c. Progress reports as a result of roof inspections.

d. Job progress photos.

e. Warranty document.

f. Owner's Manual describing maintenance and

emergency repair.

11. Employ Field Technical Services Representatives available for final roof inspection.

C. Random sampling: 1. Roofing material:

a. During course of work, Owner's Representative may secure samples according to ASTM D140-93 of materials being used from containers at job site and submit them to an independent laboratory for comparison to specified material.

b. Should test results prove that a material is not functionally equal to specified material: 1) Contractor shall pay for all testing. 2) Roofing installed and found not to comply with

the specifications shall be removed and replaced at no change in the contract price.

D. Regulatory requirements: 1. Uniform Building Code (ICBO).

2. UL Classified Fire Rating - UL 790.

B. Submit prior to contract award date:

1. Roofing System Manufacturer's Warranty: a. Copy of warranty to be issued upon successful

completion of roofing project and final inspection.

2. UL Listing of Fire Resistance Rating: a. Copy of UL Listing for the specified roof system

from the current UL Roofing Materials and Systems Directory or from letters issued by UL to the manufacturer.

3. Product data: a. Product data sheets. b. Material safety data sheets. c. Samples of coatings, adhesives, and roofing ply

sheets. d. Samples of each material specified, properly

labeled. e. Sample of each fastener type. f. Shop drawings or samples of metal flashings,

showing exact profile, lengths, joints, terminations, and methods of attachment.

g. List of 5 local projects where the specified roof system has been installed. Provide location, contact name, and telephone number.

1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING A. Delivery of materials:

1. Deliver materials to job-site in new, dry, unopened, and well-marked containers showing product and manufacturer's name.

2. Coordinate delivery with Owner. 3. Deliver materials in sufficient quantity to allow

continuity of work. B. Do not order project materials or start work before

receiving Owner's written approval. C. Storage of materials:

1. Store roll goods on ends only. Discard rolls which have been flattened, creased, or otherwise damaged. Place materials on pallets. Store roll goods on level pallets. Do not stack pallets.

2. Store materials marked "KEEP FROM FREEZING" in areas where temperatures will remain above 40EF (5EC).

3. For insulation, remove plastic packaging shrouds. For

felt rolls, slit the top of the plastic shrink wrap only. Cover top and sides of all stored materials with tarpaulin (not polyethylene). Secure tarpaulin.

4. Rooftop storage: Disperse material to avoid concentrated loading.

5. Do not store materials in open or in contact with ground or roof surface.

6. Store all materials on a raised platform covered with secured canvas tarpaulin (not polyethylene), top to bottom. Cover all materials when project is not in progress and maintain the ability at all times to cover the materials when required, such as during an unanticipated rain shower.

7. Contractor shall assume full responsibility for the protection and safekeeping of products stored on site.

D. Handle materials to avoid bending, tearing, or other damage during transportation and installation. 1. Material handling equipment shall be selected and

operated so as not to damage existing construction or applied roofing. Do not operate or situate material handling equipment in locations that will hinder smooth flow of vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

1.07 SITE CONDITIONS A. Field measurements and material quantities:

1. Contractor shall have SOLE responsibility for accuracy of all measurements, estimates of material quantities and sizes, and site conditions that will affect work.

B. Safety requirements: 1. All application, material handling, and associated

equipment shall conform to and be operated in conformance with OSHA safety requirements.

2. Comply with federal, state, local and Owner fire and safety requirements.

3. Advise Owner whenever work is expected to be hazardous to Owner, employees, and/or operators.

4. Maintain fire extinguisher within easy access whenever power tools, roofing kettles, fuels, solvents, torches, and open flames are being used.

5. Maintain a crewman as a floor area guard whenever roof decking is being repaired or replaced.

C. Waste Disposal: 1. Do not re-use, re-cycle or dispose of material

manufacturers product containers except in accordance with all applicable regulations. The user of manufactured products is responsible for proper use and disposal of product containers.

D. California Proposition 65: 1. Post all notices, make all communications and

otherwise comply with California Proposition 65 requirements concerning notification of those who may be exposed to Prop 65 listed chemicals, as revised from time to time.

2. Comply with other requirements concerning the safe use and handling of roofing materials, including preventing vapors from entering buildings.

E. Environmental requirements: 1. Do not work in rain, snow, or in presence of water. 2. Do not work in temperatures below 40EF (5EC). 3. Do not install materials marked "KEEP FROM FREEZING"

when daily temperatures are scheduled to fall below 40EF (5EC).

4. Do not perform masonry work below 40EF (5EC). 5. Remove any work exposed to freezing. 6. Advise Owner when volatile materials are to be used

near air ventilation intakes so Owner can use some or all of the following methods to minimize disruptions to building occupants and operations: a. Divert air intake from work area by attaching

scoops or temporary duct work. b. Provide make-up air or intake air from sources

away from work area. c. Temporarily shut down or block air intakes.

F. Security requirements: 1. Comply with Owner security requirements. 2. Provide Owner with current list of accredited persons. 3. No access permitted in building by persons employed on

this project. 1.08 SUBSTITUTIONS A. When a particular make or trade name is specified, it shall

be indicative of minimum standard required. B. Bidders proposing substitutes shall submit the following 10

days prior to bid date to the District: 1. Written application with explanation of why it should

be considered.

2. Accredited testing laboratory certificate comparing substitute's physical/performance attributes to those specified.

C. Only substitutes approved in writing by the District prior to scheduled bid date will be considered.

D. Notification of approvals will be mailed at least 5 days before bid opening.

E. Owner reserves right to be final authority on acceptance or rejection of any substitute.

1.09 WARRANTY/GUARANTEE A. Warranty and Service Agreement:

1. Upon project completion, Cold Process Roofing Manufacturer=s acceptance, and once complete payment has been received by both Contractor and Manufacturer, Cold Process Roofing Manufacturer shall deliver to La Canada Unified School District a Twenty (20) year Roofing System Quality Assurance Warranty and Service Agreement. Cold Process Roofing Manufacturer will, during the second, fifth, tenth and fifteenth years of this warranty service agreement, provide the following: a. Inspection by a Technical Service Representative

and delivery of a written inspection report documenting roof conditions.

b. Preventive maintenance and necessary repairs, including splits, tears, or breaks in the roof membrane system and flashings which threaten the integrity of the roof system and are not exempt due to neglect, negligence, vandalism, or some other exclusion.

c. General rooftop housekeeping and cleanup, subject to limits, but generally including removal of incidental debris.

B. Guarantee:

1. Upon project completion and Owner acceptance, effective upon complete payment, Contractor shall issue Owner a guarantee against defective workmanship and materials for a period of three (3) years.

C. Technical Service Inspection

1. TREMCO to provide Technical Consulting Service or Full Time Inspection for 4 days at a cost of $ 750.00 per

day to the Approved Contractors or Certified Contractor by the manufacturer in the installation of the Warranty System. None approved or certified contractor to have complete full time inspection for the length of the project.

PART II - PRODUCTS 2.01 GENERAL A. Comply with quality control, references, specifications,

and manufacturer's data. Products containing asbestos are prohibited on this project. Use only asbestos-free products.

B. Use products with personal protection. User must read container label and material safety data sheets prior to use.

2.03 WOOD BLOCKING A. Lumber:

1. Southern Pine; No. 2 grade; free from warping and visible decay; pressure-treated with chromated copper arsenate (CCA) to meet AWPB, LP-22, 0.40 retention, and marked.

B. Fiber cant: 4" x 4" coated fiberboard cant. c. Plywood Wood Decking to be exterior grade and smooth.

Its discovery is sufficient cause for rejection. I. Ply shall never touch ply, even at roof edges, laps,

tapered edge strips, and cants. J. Fit plies into roof drain rims; install lead flashing and

finishing plies; secure clamping collars; install domes. K. Extend roofing membrane to top edge of cant at wall and

projection bases. L. Cut out fish mouths/side laps which are not completely

sealed; patch. Replace all sheets which are not fully and continuously bonded.

M. Plies: Prior to placement, cut ply sheets in 18 - 20 ft. lengths. Allow lengths to relax at least 30 minutes, 55EF) or above; 60 minutes, below 55EF. Stack lengths. Do not reroll.

b. Install composite ply base sheet over sheathing paper. Lap 4 inches on sides and ends. Nail 9 inches o.c. at laps; and two (2) rows staggered 18 inches o.c. , 12 inches from each edge.

c. Envelope base sheet on all slopes. 3.06 ROOF SYSTEM APPLICATION 2 PLIES WITH SBS MODIFIED MEMBRANE: A. Install Two (2) plies of precut, relaxed ply sheet, shingle

fashion. B. Use 19” and 36 inch wide plies to start and finish roof

membrane along roof edges and terminations. C. Immediately after installation, broom and/or roll ply

sheet. Ensure complete and continuous seal and contact between adhesive and felts, including ends, edges and laps without wrinkles, fish mouths, or blisters. Broom/roller width: 34 inches minimum.

D. Apply uniform and continuous pressure to exposed edge and end laps to ensure complete adhesion.

E. Avoid walking on plies until adhesive has set. F. Overlap previous day's work 24 inches. G. Lap ply membrane ends 4 inches. Stagger end laps 3 feet

minimum. H. Embed each ply in a uniform and continuous application of

cold process interply adhesive. Interply application rate: minimum of 2½ to 3 gallons per 100 sq. ft.

3.07 SURFACING APPLICATION A. Modified Bitumen Application:

1. Plan placement of SBS Granulated Membrane to ensure water flows over or along, but not against exposed edges.

2. Starting at low point of the roof section, roll or embed one ply of SBS Granulated Membrane to base plies at a minimum of 2½ gallons per 100 square feet with PowerPly Adhesive.

3. Install Modified Membrane immediately into fresh applied adhesive.

4. Lap edges 2” and ply ends 6”.

5. Roofing membrane shall never touch roofing membrane, even at roof edges, laps, and cants.

6. Immediately after installation embed granules into any excessive adhesive or adhesive marks.

7. Apply uniform and continuous pressure to exposed edges and end laps to ensure complete adhesion.

8. Avoid walking on plies until PowerPly Adhesive has set.

9. Extend roofing membrane two inches beyond top edges of cants, at all walls and projection bases.

10. Fit plies into roof drain rims; install lead flashing and finish plies, secure clamping rings, and install domes.

11. All details shall be completed after installation of all base and 2-plies, but before installation of the Modified Membrane.

12. Seal all perimeter and metal edges after installing the modified membrane with a cant bead of Polyroof or Reglet Joint Sealant.

3.08 FLASHINGS A. General flashing requirements:

1. Elastomeric Flashing: a. Adhere elastomeric sheeting completely to flashing

surface, cant, and roofing with flashing adhesive. After application of adhesive, allow adhesive to remain open for 15 minutes minimum to flash off solvent prior to setting elastomeric sheeting into flashing adhesive.

b. Apply consistent pressure to entire surface of elastomeric sheeting using a steel hand roller to achieve full adhesion of the sheet to the flashing substrate. Ensure complete bond and continuity without wrinkles or voids.

c. Lap sheeting ends 4 inches. Fully heat weld flashing laps.

d. Elastomeric sheeting width: Sufficient to extend at least 6 inches beyond toe of cant onto new roof.

e. Seal vertical and horizontal edges of sheeting with reinforcing membrane embedded in a base course of flashing adhesive and a top course of Polyroof Modified Asphalt Mastic, Seam Sealer, or Rock-it Adhesive and Burmesh Membrane.

f. Top dress all mastics with # 11 White Granules 2. Hot air heat welding of Hypalon/TPA:

a. Wipe both sides of lap surfaces to be joined with toluene solvent.

b. Adjust welding equipment air temperature prior to start. Utilize steel roller or weighted wheel on automatic welding equipment to provide pressure on lap area during heat welding.

c. Maintain air nozzle temperature, nozzle speed, and lap pressure when joining laps together.

d. Test lap areas to assure proper bonding. Remove lap sample from the roof. When lap sample is cool, pull test lap apart. When torn, the reinforcing scrim should become exposed. Patch test areas with new Hypalon of the same color and style, using a minimum 2" lap area.

e. Wipe top of lap seams with toluene solvent and apply lap edge sealant. Tool sealant to a coved bead.

3. Two-Ply Stripping for metal flanges: a. Set flange in asphalt mastic. Seal flange with

two (2) stripping plies embedded between alternate applications of stripping adhesive/bitumen. Extend first ply 4 inches beyond flange; second ply 2" beyond first ply.

4. At perimeter edges: a. Install new roofing to blocking edge. Nail with

spiral or annular shank nails, 8 inches o.c. Nails to have 1 inch integral cap. 1) Envelope felts.

b. Prior to setting and nailing horizontal flanges of metal edge flashing, trowel 1/16 inch uniformly thick layer of asphalt mastic to roofing surface receiving metal flange.

c. Fabricate and install metal edge flashing with formed drip edge incorporating 3/4 inch lock. 1) Flange width: No wider than underlying

blocking. 2) Fascia width: 5 inches.

d. Secure fascia bottom with 3/4 inch lock to continuous cleat nailed 16 inches o.c. Cleat shall be 1 gauge heavier than fascia.

e. Gap fascia ends 1/2 inch; overlap cleat joints - 1 inch. Set flange in mastic. Cover fascia ends with cover plate profiled to fascia. Set cover in

f. Nail interior portion of flange to wood blocking 3 inches o.c., staggered.

g. Prime metal flange with asphalt primer. h. Install two (2) ply stripping for metal flanges as

described in general flashing requirements section.

5. At wall flashings: a. Adhere cant strip to flashing base in a continuous

application of solvent free insulation adhesive. b. Install elastomeric base flashing described in

general flashing requirements section. c. Secure top edge of flashing membrane to vertical

substrate with termination bar secured 8 inches o.c. maximum.

d. Wipe top of bar clean with metal cleaner. Prime metal surface to receive sealant with metal primer. Allow to dry.

e. Caulk top of bar. Provide watershed. Tool neatly.

f. Fabricate and install new counter flashing. g. Install surface mount counter flashing with

flashing tape. Mechanically fasten 8 inches o.c. maximum.

h. Wipe clean metal surfaces of flashing joint with metal cleaner. Prime metal joint surfaces with metal primer. Allow to dry.

i. Caulk flashing joint. Provide watershed. Tool neatly.

6. At drains: a. Install tapered edge strip around drain to create

approximate 48 x 48 inch sump. Miter corners. Seal toe of tapered edge to drain rim with reinforcing membrane embedded between alternate courses of asphalt mastic.

b. Install roofing system into sump and onto drain rim.

c. Plug drain to prevent water entry until service connection is completed.

d. Service connection (Contractor's responsibility): e. Locate new piping to include as few bends as

possible. Do not overload any existing pipe and drain, ensure balanced disposal of all rain water. Make adequate provisions for thermal movement of

all piping. f. Provide cleanouts at elbows under each drain, at

tops and bottoms of each vertical run, at connection to storm sewer, as called for by Plumbing Code, and as required to make sure that drainage system can be cleaned anywhere, if needed. Provide and install access panels if required for service clean outs.

g. Where new work joins old, provide all necessary materials, repairs, changes, and associated work as needed for proper connections.

h. Make all connections watertight. i. Remove seal/plug. j. Use insulation on all pipes and fittings from

drains to existing down-pipes. Ensure full continuity of insulation over pipes, fittings, and connections. Provide concealed saddles at all hangers.

k. Prime the bottom side of the lead flashing. l. Apply 1/16 inch uniformly thick layer of asphalt

mastic to surface receiving lead flashing. m. Set single piece lead flashing in mastic centered

over drain; extend lead 6 inches beyond drain rim. Neatly dress lead with wood block.

n. Clamp flashing collar to drain in bed of mastic. o. Neatly cut lead/felts within drain at rim. Lead

to extend 1 inch into bowl. p. Prime lead with asphalt primer. q. Fabricate a 1" x 4" gravel retainer in a 36"

square around the drain bowl. r. Set gravel retainer in asphalt mastic. s. Install two (2) ply stripping described in general

flashing requirements section. Stripping shall not extend under clamping ring.

t. For working drains, remove drain plug upon completion of work each day.

7. Batten Wall Bars: a. Attach bar to wall 12" on center with Tremco Lead

Anchors or approved equal fasteners. Apply TF-Tape to both sides of the hypalon membrane prior to installation of the batten bar. One ply is required on exposed surface sheet mount.

8. On curb details, plies will extend 2" above cants. Reinforced-rubber sheeting will be set in Reinforced Hypalon Sheeting will be set in Sheeting Bond and

nailed inside wood nailer 6" on center. The outside edge of Hypalon Sheet will be 3-coursed with webbing and Polyroof elastomeric mastic. Flashing seams shall be with heat seaming or Lap Adhesive. All Seams shall be cleaned prior to seaming with heat or adhesive with an approved Hypalon Solvent. Seal seams with Tremseal S Sealant. Install TF-Tape to both sides of the hypalon flashing.

9. On wall details, plies will extend 2" above cants. Reinforced hypalon sheeting will be set in butyl-based adhesive or Sheeting Bond onto roof surface 6" and up wall under flashing metal and fastened to nailer 12" on center. The outside edges of the plies of sheeting will be 3-coursed with webbing and roof elastomer. All Seams shall be cleaned prior to seaming with heat or adhesive with an approved Hypalon Solvent. Seal all lap seams with Tremseal S Sealant. Install TF-Tape to both sides of the hypalon flashing.

3.09 WALKWAYS A. Install walkway panels according to attached plan.

1. Adhere walkway panels to roofing in surfacing adhesive.

2. Include two rolls of TPA Walkway Panel Gray. 3.11 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING

A. Repair of deficiencies: 1. Installations of details noted as deficient during

final inspection must be repaired and corrected by applicator, and made ready for re-inspection, within five (5) working days.

B. Clean-up:

1. Immediately upon job completion, roof membrane and flashing surfaces shall be cleaned of debris.
