OPERATING CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS• DO NOT use the Nasal Aspirator when patients have the following

contraindications: ˙Nasal bleeding˙Acute head, facial, or neck injury˙Coagulopathy or bleeding disorder

• Do not use excessive force to insert the probe into the nose; proper use shouldnot cause pain or discomfort

• If you experience any discomfort or an abnormality occurs, stop using thedevice immediately; to stop the device during operation, release the powerbutton and remove the device from the nose

• Never use this unit while operating a vehicle or in the bathtub or shower

STORAGE CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS• Storage outside of stated storage temperature may result in measurement

error or device malfunction; storage environment temperature is: -13°F – 131°F(-25°C – 55°C); humidity: ≤85% RH

• Keep the unit out of reach of small children• Remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period of

time• Do not store the aspirator in direct sunlight, dusty or humid environments, or

extreme temperatures. Exact figures for appropriate use and storage can befound in the Product Specifications section of this manual.

BATTERY INSTALLATION / REPLACEMENTYour Nasal Aspirator requires 4 AA batteries, included.When the low battery symbol appears, the battery needs to be replacedsoon. If the symbol appears as a drained battery, the device will no longerfunction and the battery must be replaced immediately.

Installing and replacing the batteries:1. Slide the battery cover off.2. Carefully remove the expired

batteries. 3. Insert four new alkaline AA

batteries matching the polarity asindicated in the below diagram andon the inside of the batterycompartment.

4. Replace the battery cover.5. Briefly press the power button to

ensure the unit is on and working.6. Dispose of the old batteries

according to localdisposal/recycling regulations.

note:• Always use NEW batteries; never

mix old and new batteries.

• Do not use rechargeable batteries;rechargeable batteries can vary greatly in quality and strength. Use ofrechargeable batteries may affect the performance of this device.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE1. Choose the correct size included tip based on the anticipated use:

Wider opening tip—recommended for use when the mucus is more solid

Narrow opening tip—recommended for use when the mucus is more liquid orthin

2. Attached the selected tip firmly to the aspirator unit; it should fit flush againstthe unit housing.

3. Press the POWER button to activate the suction pressure and ensure the unit isoperating correctly before placing in the nostril.

Select the desired suction level, pressing + to increase or — to decrease.When new batteries are installed, the default suction power setting is level 2;otherwise, the previously used suction level will be the default.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE4. Hold the baby or child upright, the aspirator should not be used while the

patient is reclined. Be careful not to place the tip too far into the nostril orpress against the inside wall of the nostril.

5. Press the POWER button to turn on the aspirator on. Allow the suction to clearthe mucus. Repeat in the other nostril as needed.

Suction power is mild and should only take a few seconds; discontinue useimmediately if child is uncomfortable.

note: This mucus may not immediately be visible in the collection reservoir. Itis recommended that the silicone tip and aspirator head be removed andrinsed between each use to keep any mucus from drying and clogging thedevice.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - MUSIC This device includes a audible melodyfeature designed to comfort your babyor child.

This feature includes twelve simpletunes, each 20–60 seconds in length.

1. Press the Music Button to activate themusic feature.

2. The tune will start and stopautomatically.

3. The varying tunes will rotate throughthe twelve-programmed songs eachtime the button is pressed.

NOTE: Once the music has begun, itcannot be stopped and must play thefull tune (20-60 seconds). Pressing the Music Note Key againwill automatically begin a new tune,it will not stop the song.

CLEANING AND STORAGEIt is recommended at the that the silicone tip, head and collection cup be atminimum rinsed well with hot water between uses to prevent mucus from dryingand clogging the unit.

The following cleaning procedures should be performed daily or as needed whenthe device is being used regularly; failure to properly clean your unit may result inclogging and shortened product life.

device housing.

2. Unscrew the collection cup from the headmodule.

3. It is also suggested that the rubber sealinside the module head be removed forcleaning and to help ensure the unit is fullydry before use and to prevent the growth ofbacteria.

4. To Clean (at the end of the day / asneeded)—Wash the collection cup and tipwith mild, non-abrasive soap and water.

To Disinfect (after an illness / as needed)—After cleaning the pieces, boil the tip andcollection cup for 15 minutes; do not boilthe head module.

6. Do now wash or immerse the housing bodyof the aspirator. Wipe with a damp cloth asneeded.

WARRANTY INFORMATIONone-year lImIted warranty

The warrantor guarantees that its Nasal Aspirator will be free frommanufacturing defects under normal use for a period of one-year. This warrantycovers only normal use, and does not apply to use in any clinical or commercialapplications and is valid for the original purchaser only. This warranty does notcover batteries or other power sources that may be provided with or used withthe Nasal Aspirator. This warranty is voided if the Nasal Aspirator product ismisused or abused in any manner.

If the Instant Nasal Aspirator fails to operate during the warranty period, return itpostage prepaid to: Repair Department, 1175 Lakeside Drive, Gurnee, IL60031. The warrantor will repair or replace the defective unit at the option of thewarrantor. Repair or replacement of the defective unit, at warrantor’s option, isthe sole remedy under this warranty.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES WHICH THE PURCHASER MAY HAVE ARE LIMITED INDURATION TO THE TIME THAT THE ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER OWNS THEPRODUCT. Some states do not allow limitations or how long an implied warrantylasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

This warranty constitutes the warrantors only responsibility and obligation torepair and/or replace materials or components, or refund the purchase price. COLOCACIÓN DE LA BATERÍASu Aspirador Nasal usa 4 baterías AA, que están incluidas.Cuando aparece el símbolo de batería baja, se las debe reemplazar a labrevedad. Si el símbolo aparece como batería agotada, el dispositivo dejará defuncionar y se la deberá reemplazar inmediatamente.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO1. Elija el tamaño adecuado de la punta según el uso previsto:

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO – MÚSICAEste dispositivo tiene una función demelodía diseñada para tranquilizar a subebé o niño

y que incluye doce canciones simples, de20 a 60 segundos de duración cada una.

1. Presione el Botón Música para activarla función.

2. La canción comenzará y se detendráautomáticamente.

LIMPIEZA Y ALMACENAMIENTOSe recomienda como mínimo enjuagar bien con agua caliente las puntas desilicona, la cabeza y la taza recolectora, entre un uso y otro para evitar que el mocose seque y obstruya la unidad.

lImpIeza:1. Separe cuidadosamente del compartimiento

del dispositivo a la punta y la cabeza.

2. Desenrosque del módulo de la cabeza a la tazarecolectora.

3. Se recomienda también quitar el sello de gomaque está en el interior de la cabeza del módulopara su limpieza y asegurar que la unidad estécompletamente seca antes de usarla y evitar asíel crecimiento de bacterias.

4. Para limpiar (al final del día o según seanecesario)—Lave la taza recolectora y la puntacon agua y jabón neutro y no abrasivo.

Para desinfectar (después de una enfermedad osegún sea necesario)—Después de limpiar laspiezas, hierva las puntas y la taza recolectoradurante 15 minutos; no hierva el módulo de lacabeza.

Esta garantía no cubre las baterías u otrasfuentes de energía que se puedan suministrar o utilizar con el Aspirador nasal. Estagarantía se anulará si el Aspirador nasal se usa en forma incorrecta o si se abusa de élde cualquier manera.

Si el Aspirador Nasal Instantáneo no funciona durante el período de garantía,devuélvalo por correo prepagado a: Repair Department, 1175 Lakeside Drive, Gurnee,IL 60031. El garante reparará o reemplazará la unidad defectuosa, a su criterio. Lareparación o el reemplazo de la unidad defectuosa, según el criterio del garante, es laúnica solución conforme a esta garantía.

LA DURACIÓN DE CUALQUIER GARANTÍA IMPLÍCITA QUE EL COMPRADOR PUDIERATENER ESTÁ LIMITADA AL TIEMPO EN QUE EL COMPRADOR CONSUMIDOR ORIGINALTENGA EL PRODUCTO. Algunos estados no permiten limitaciones en cuanto a laduración de una garantía implícita, por lo tanto puede darse el caso que no se leaplique a usted la limitación que se mencionó anteriormente.
