Kurs Programm 2019

1.- 4. September 2019 We are pleased to invite you to take part in the seminar led by Hélène Loiselle BSc Ost.

LMO 4 OSTEOPATHIC MECHANICAL LINK – The viscera Objectives This course proposes a new, simple and efficient osteopathic approach to the visceral field. The different viscero-organic structures are first located in an original manner using cutaneous depressions then systematically examined with basic tests. The examination of the gynecological sphere is performed comfortably and simply, externally, with tests that have been validated in terms of efficiency by intra-vaginal ultrasound. The diagnosis of the visceral dominant osteopathic lesion is made by the tests in inhibitory balance and the normalization carried out by recoil The complete examination of the viscera and resulting osteopathic treatment are thus

performed rapidly and efficiently within a few minutes. « A course that will give you the necessary and sufficient tools to treat with confidence this most important field of osteopathy.…» Program • The digestive tract. Basic tests and

treatment of the pharynx, the esophagus, the stomach, the gallbladder, the duodenum, the small and large intestine.

• The genitourinary organs. Basic tests and treatment of the uterus, the ovaries, the prostate, the bladder and the kidney.

• The abdominal organs. Basic tests and treatment of the spleen, the pancreas and the liver.

POSTURE, LOWER EXTREMITY, FOOT AND GAIT PROBLEMS IN THE DEVELOPING BABY AND CHILD Development is a complex interplay between the child’s maturing musculoskeletal system, the nervous system and the environment the child where is growing. Participants will learn how to observe and evaluate development with a better understanding of developmental biomechanics, reflexes and reactions, sensory processing, muscle tone, viscera and posture. Participants will also gain a better understanding the importance of biomechanical alignment in the development of the different ages and stages. Osteopathic techniques will be shared and practiced that support biomechanical alignment and support optimum development of the child.

«Supporting Children’s Development Through an Integrated Lens – The Role of Osteopathy» Course Objectives 1. To learn how to assess and understand the

role of the foot and lower extremity in postural stability and mobility in the growing child

2. To learn how to observe and understand the developmental biomechanics at the different stages and the repercussions of improper sitting, crawling and standing on developmental biomechanics and function

3. To understand the role of osteopathy in biomechanical alignment in the developing child

4. To understand sensory processing and the importance of the vestibular/visual/auditory triad in the development of postural stability and mobility

5. To understand the impact of retained reflexes and reactions on sensorimotor development

6. To understand the impact of visceral problems on sensorimotor development

7. To understand the impact of regulation on development and learn how to support regulation through osteopathic techniques

8. To learn and practice osteopathic techniques to address structures in tension or dysfunction that can be interfering with postural alignment and development

9. To learn about orthotic intervention to support alignment and development

10. To discuss case studies and osteopathic intervention

Clinician for more than 30 years, Pierrette Cyr is a supervisor at the external clinic of the CEOM and professor at the College of Osteopathic Studies in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Switzerland and Germany since 1995. She teaches programs on lymphatics, lungs and advanced palpation. In 2013, she gave a seminar on "The Three Doors" in Sacramento, California, USA She graduated from the CEOM in 1992 following the submission of the memoir "Osteopathy, way of life". She earned her MSc in Science, Manual Therapy and Orthopedics from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Montreal.

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the seminar

This seminar, highly appreciated for its practical applications at the lymphatic level and its palpatory methodology, will allow you to address the lymphatic reality in the overall treatment of your patients. The objectives of this course are to provide you with a better knowledge and understanding of the lymphatic system and to give you the ability to address and treat the lymphatic system in your patients.

«understanding the lymphatic system» Looking forward to sharing with you my passion for osteopathy, movement and life! Theoretical Components • Consider the importance of the lymphatics

according to osteopathic tradition • Anatomy and physiology of the lymphatics

• Respiratory and circulatory model of Dr. Zink

• Treatment plan Practical Components • Assessment of the lymphatics according to

Millard • Assessment and treatment of the

respiratory circulatory model of Dr. Zink • The Pump techniques • Thoracic inlet treatment • EENT lymphatic treatment sequence • Deep abdominal drainage sequence • Lower limb drainage techniques • Lymphofascial release technique applied to

the viscera • Chapman's reflexes Note! Places limited! Training offered only to osteopaths and interns in osteopathy.
