History Syahbandar tower called also Uitkljk, Uitkijk Post was on the west bank of the mouth of the Ciliwung, precisely located on Jl. Fish Market 1, Jakarta. Referred to as De Uitkijk or tower observer, because this tower to monitor the entire region both in the direction of the port of Sunda Kelapa and high seas in the north and to the City of Batavia in the south and also because Syahbandar Tower (Uitkijk) established replace the old flagpole located in shipyard VOC. There are times that clogged by waste and does not flow in the vicinity of the location, time is very eyesore and cause air pollution due cause bad odor.
