Knights Armament Company wasfounded as a research & developmentfacility more than 30 years ago. We havesince evolved into a premier weaponsmanufacturer offering complete weaponsystems, modular accessories and Knight

Vision electro-optics. Knights is bestknown for our advanced developmentsin weapon designs and accessories, withR&D, manufacturing, assembly and testing

all performed at our facility in Titusville,FL. From Mr. Knights rst developmentsin signature reduction devices, to thecollaborations with Mr. Stoner thatproduced our renowned weapon systems,the development of his patented rail

system, and then the Knight Vision electro-optics, Knights Armament has consistentlyprovided innovative, reliable and functionalweapon systems and accessories.

Knights Armament Company has beena leading developer of suppressortechnology since its inception. The rstsound suppressors manufactured byKnights on a large scale were for the USNavy. Developed for the M16 rie, this

stainless steel suppressor was muzzlemounted via a collar and was designedto sustain fully automatic rates of rethat exceeded that of the M16, as well

as survive sustained submersion in seawater. This was a relatively large contractin a time when suppressor contracts werenot widely solicited. The Hush Puppywas a silencer developed for the US AirForce for use with their Beretta handguns.

The rst generation of this item wasdeveloped with a thread-on connectortype to integrate with existing technology.However, KAC introduced the suppressor

with a locking gate-latch that allowed aquick connection and a secure t, whichlater developed into the gate-latch seenon the M4QDSS and NT4 suppressors. TheHush Puppy suppressor also had a uniquequick-change wipe container pack that

enabled eld-level replacement of thepolyurethane bullet wipes or the entirecontainer. During the mid-1980s, Coltdeveloped a weapon specically for the

DEA that utilized a 9mm cartridge in anAR-15 style weapon body. Colt contractedKnights to supply an integrated soundsuppressor for this unique weapon whichdropped the 9mm rounds to subsonicvelocities. This collaborative project helped

further establish Knights reputation as atop engineering and manufacturing rmfor suppressor technology.

The Mk23 .45 sound suppressor wasanother landmark suppressor developedby KAC and helped to further solidifyKnights reputation as a manufacturer ofsuperior sound suppressors. In the early1990s, Colt and H&K were both solicitedto develop a weapon for the OffensiveHandgun Weapon System (OHWS) forthe Special Operations community. Onceagain, Colt turned to KAC to develop asound suppressor for this weapon system.When Colts handgun was not selected,

and H&Ks suppressor was similarly refused,the government suggested a cooperative


measure between Knights Armamentand H&K. The resulting technologyproduced the H&K Mk23 handgun andsound suppressor, supplied by KnightsArmament Company. This device utilizeda unique baffl e design designed by Mr.Doug Olsen and featured a Nielsen devicethat allowed for an increase in the pistolsfunctional reliability while suppressed. This robust and quiet suppressor utilizedextremely advanced technologies forthis time-period and is still being sold

and utilized some two decades later. Thissuccessful cooperative measure led to

many subsequent projects between H&Kand Knights Armament. The technologydeveloped and used in previous designsled to the M4QDSS sound suppressor,which established KAC as a leader inthe eld of suppression technology. Itwas built to exceed standards issued byUSSOCOM for a suppressor to withstand210 rounds of fully automatic re. Throughimproved manufacturing methodsand materials, Knights offered a moredurable version built with four inconel

baffl es, creating the NT-4, which becamethe only sound suppressor to meet and

exceed the governments requirementof a 10,000+ round service life. Throughinnovative products like the NT-4, thereex style Mk11/M110 Suppressor, andthe latest QDC platforms, Knights hasbecome the largest supplier of soundsuppressors to the US government.KAC continued to focus on improvingexisting technologies and originating newconcepts for suppressors. The reduction ofweight while maintaining durability, andthe repeatability of attachment without

shifting zero were some of the drivingfactors which led to the development of

Knights QDC suppressors. The QD linefeatured the legacy Gate-Latch whichcoupled easily with A2-style ash hiderssuch as Knights QD Flash Suppressor and Triple Tap Compensator. The QDC linewas engineered to mate with a variety ofmuzzle devices machined with the QDCindentations, such as the MAMS Brakesand QDC line of Flash Suppressors. Theresulting products form an intelligentlyinterweaving array which exhibit superiorinteroperability and durable, effi cient

designs. Because of these advances,Knights has been able to manufacture

and deliver over 110,000 units to the USgovernment and over 15,000 units of theMk11/M110 reex style suppressors tothe US and Allied governments for useon the Mk11, M110, and Mk13 .300WMplatforms. Additionally, the 762QDC/CQB Sound Suppressor was adoptedon the M110K1 conversion kits for theM110 and Mk11, which modify thoseplatforms into 16 Battle Ries. Thesedevelopments and subsequent adoptionsserve as a testament to Knights quality

and enduring reputation.

300 Blackout is the high powered, 7.62x35mm ammunition developed by AdvancedArmament Corporation which exhibits exemplary performance while suppressed. Thiscompact .30 caliber round was developed with several requirements in mind, whichincluded utilizing certain preexisting AR15 hardware, such as an unmodied AR15-stylebolt, DI Gas System, and unmodied 30-round magazines; be able to meet or exceed themuzzle energy seen in 7.62x39mm rounds red from an AK47; and cycle reliably whenred suppressed or unsuppressed, and super or subsonic. The resulting lightweight roundis an efficient, high-mass projectile that uses less powder than a standard 5.56 round yet is

able to more effectively penetrate barriers. Knights Armament Company has developedseveral new products that take advantage of this technology and combine it with theunsurpassed legacy of KAC engineering and manufacturing.
