Dilly and the Three Monsters Once upon a time, there lived a small boy called Dilly. One day, Dilly went for a walk in the mountains. While he was walking he found a strange looking cave hidden behind a row of leafy trees. He knocked on the door of the cave but nobody answered. Dilly was very curious so he pushed the door open and went inside. At the table, there were three bowls of hot soup. Dilly tasted the soup from the large bowl. “This soup is too thick!” he cried. He tasted the soup from the medium bowl. “This soup is too lumpy!” he moaned. Then, he tasted the soup from the small bowl. This soup was just right so he started to gobble it up. As he was eating, the three monsters entered the cave. Dilly was so scared that he jumped over the table, bolted through the door and ran all the way back to his home.

Tim crept over to the wardrobe and pulled the doors open. The boys could still hear the thumping sounds but they could not see a thing. “Turn the light on” called Tim. As Matt reached for the lamp, a tiny purple alien jumped onto his bed and started poking him on the foot. “Take me to your leader! Take me to your leader1” yelled the little alien. Tim and Matt both climbed onto Matt’s bed and stared at the unexpected visitor.
