experience whilst in the USA to make the right decision about where you

will spend the majority of your university career.

course. The teachers will

college life to help you go to

your dream college.”

Jiahui Quan from China

“Dewey is a very talented artist. He worked

very hard on his portfolio for art school

applications, and has some really amazing

work. After he attended a Prospective Student

Day at MassArt he fell in love with it. When he

came to show me his acceptance letter last

week, he just couldn’t stop smiling.”

Becky Bierman, University Counsellor, Boston

“I chose Kings’ pathway course so I could go to a university in the US. To study at

Kings gives me time to get used to American culture and prepare for my academic

skills prior enter to a university in US. Because there are thousands of universities

in the States, I got really confused about which university should I apply to — Kings

have really helped me with choosing and applying for the schools. Because of my

course at Kings, I have had more time to prepare and get used to American culture.

Also, I have more chance to practice my speaking, which I think is the most essential

thing to succeed at university.”

because you learn how to write essays, how

“I’d like to say a big thank you to every

single teacher at Kings. They took care of

us like parents take care of their children.

It was incredible work, they helped us with

every aspect, and even helped us to shape

our personality, which was really great for

a person who is changing from a teenager

to an adult. As for the academic input, it

was enormous and amazing.”

teaching international students. This means our

students gain a deep understanding of their subjects.

Teachers are specialists in their academic subject.

Very small classesKings classes are some of the smallest of any

international college. It’s one of the main reasons

why our students learn more and learn faster.

for the duration of their course.

“If someone had told me four years ago that I’d study

at one of the best universities in the world, it would have

been hard to believe! But every day you make a little

more progress and over two years you improve step by

step. Every day you make little changes to become a

different self.”

Shuyu Lin from China Now studying Engineering, Economics and Management at the University of Oxford

“In order to get into universities in the UK you have to

apply through a system called UCAS and you have to

include your academic results as well as your personal

statement — a statement which has your information,

whereby you have to convince the admissions team

why they should take you. Thanks to my teacher’s

help, I think mine was perfect.”

Chun Yu Chan (Jeremy) from China Now studying Medicine at Queens University, Belfast

“On my Foundation Course, we also did work and assignments,

which has really helped me here at university as 30% of

coursework is assignments. Also they helped us with

presentations, which we have a lot of on my course. In all my

presentations I’ve got above 85%, I think because Kings helped

prepare me so much!”
