What: An intensive 2-day drill-down of statewide special education data (SPP Indicators 1-14; related services data, identification data). Step 1: Review data reports and do additional data drill-downs in order to identify areas of need, e.g., which subgroups of students have the lowest graduation rate, which subgroups of students have the lowest proficiency rates; which parent survey item has the lowest score; which district has the lowest LRE rate. Step 2: Determine the professional development that will address these needs. Step 3: Implement the professional development. Step 4: Evaluate the impact of the professional development. Next Year: Drill down in the data at the district level to determine district-level needs. District-level workshops, modeled on the statewide drill-down, will be conducted to assist districts in understanding, interpreting, and identifying needs in their data. 1 Kimberly Harper, Christine Revere, & Susan Wagner, Wyoming SPDG Strategy: Drilling Down in Data to Determine Statewide Professional Development Needs

Next Year: Drill down in the data at the district level to determine district-

level needs. District-level workshops, modeled on the statewide drill-down, will be conducted to assist districts in understanding, interpreting, and identifying needs in their data.
