Join us in our Bible Study during your Quiet Times at Home:

• We have also included your child’s schedule and quiet times. The schedule will be a great thing to put up somewhere you will see it all week. As you look at it you can specifically pray for what your child and the other children are doing at that moment. We would also like to challenge you to do the same Bible Study that your children are doing throughout the week. This way you can specifically be in prayer for what your children are learning and you can talk about what each of you learned from Scripture when they return.

Mailing Address:

• Mail to: Your Camper’s Name and Church Name c/o Trinity Pines Conference Center 4341 FM 356 Trinity, TX 75862-0707

• If you plan on sending mail, be sure to include a good return address on letters and

cards. If you want your Camper to receive their mail at Camp, it will be helpful to send it on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

Morning Registration at Fellowship of Montgomery:

• It will be very important for your child to ARRIVE AT THE CHURCH ON TIME. Please note that the Registration Doors will not unlock until Noon.

o Step One: Drop luggage off in its proper location outside § Luge Needs to have the campers name on it.

o Step Two: Go inside to the check-in table located in the worship center lobby to get your child’s wristband and stringed backpack. If your child’s name tag is not there, you will need to go to the Registration Table to see if there is a problem with your child’s paperwork.

o Step Three: Once your child receives a wrist band, they will be asked to go to the Ride Room behind the Worship Center to meet their sponsor and enjoy a movie until departure.

§ This will be a good time tell your camper goodbye and to pray with them to have a great trip.

• Bro. Noah will speak to the kids and sponsors briefly. • Buses will be loaded by age group and off to Pre-Teen Camp we go!!

Fellowship of Montgomery Expectations:

• Please talk to your children about the importance of abiding by the Fellowship of Montgomery Expectations:

• Our expectation of your children can be summed up by one word, RESPECT. o Respect Yourself o Respect Others, including every kid and adult at Camp o Respect Property o Most importantly respect what God wants to do at Camp

• If a child attempts to hurt anyone, destroy property, or is constantly disrespectful the

parents may be called to come and pick up their child. Camp Expectations:

• Attached to this packet is a Camper/Parent agreement form that needs to be signed and returned during the Camp meeting or as soon as possible.

Dress Code:

• Our church desires to support a life of purity and we believe that dress plays a big role for both guys and girls. We do understand that there are many different ideas on what dress is proper. As a result, the following guidelines will be enforced.

o SHORTS MAY BE WORN TO WORSHIP; if girls choose to wear a dress or skirt use the “dollar bill rule” (short side of the dollar bill), no shorter than a dollar bill length from the knee.

o MODEST TOPS AND SHORTS FOR GIRLS; they should not be too tight or revealing. Tops and shorts or jeans should meet to cover the midriff. Again the “dollar bill rule” will apply.

o SHOES MUST BE WORN OUTSIDE CABINS: appropriate shoes (TENNIS SHOES) should be brought to Camp for walking and active sports. Flip flops will be best for showering and the pool.

o SWIMSUITS: swimsuits for girls may be two-piece if the midriff is covered (Tankinies). T-shirts or cover-ups must be worn to and from the pool for boys and girls. A Dark T-Shirt must be warn in and out of the pool for those who wear two-piece swim suits, that do not cover the midriff.

o PAJAMA OR PAJAMA PANTS: CANNOT be worn outside the cabin or dorm. Kids choosing not to abide by these rules and those who may have not brought or refuse to change into appropriate clothing will be given an outfit of our choosing to place over the clothing. Cabins:

• We will be assigned Cabins based on the number of kids we bring. We will more than likely be split up into two cabins. We will not know our cabin assignment until closer to camp. The boys and girls will be assigned to separate dorms/cabins. Boys are not allowed to go into girl cabins and likewise, boys are not allowed into girls cabins. Kids are not to be in the cabin/dorm when there is not an adult sponsor present.

• In addition, there will be other churches staying at the camp. Kids from other churches are not allowed into our cabins and we are not allowed to go into theirs.

Activities

• Kids will participate in camp activities such as: swimming, sports, dodge ball, basketball, mini golf, canoeing, hiking, fishing, disc golf, challenge course, and some super fun planned games by the camp. Kids will participate in these activities as teams with other churches, and as a church group. Your kids will be SUPER active at camp as well as doing a lot of walking to different locations. Prepare your child with proper clothing, talking to them about the activity level they will experience, and by making sure they get a couple of good nights rest before camp.

Food Allergies:

• We have included a menu so you can see what the kids will be eating each day. They do have a salad bar that is open for lunch and dinner. If you need to send food for your child please make these arrangements with us as soon as possible before camp.

Page 4: Kids Camp Parent Guidestorage.cloversites.com/fellowshipofmontgomery/documents...parents may be called to come and pick up their child. Camp Expectations: • Attached to this packet

Medication:

• ALL MEDICATION MUST BE IN ITS ORIGINAL BOTTLE AND PROPERLY MARKED. • Place the medication into a zip-lock bag with the Medication Form. Place your Childs

First Name, Last Name, and Fellowship of Montgomery on the bag with a permanent marker. Be sure that the dosage information is correct on the form. If your child requires any medication whatsoever, it must be turned into the church.

• The camp ask that kids NOT bring basic over the counter medication such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen, or Benadryl..., because they provide this.

• Written authorization is required from a parent to take inhalers to cabins at night. The counselors will keep the inhalers in their possession and return them to the Camp Nurse each morning.

Money

• There is a Camp Store where kids can purchase snack foods and souvenirs. The Max amount of extra cash should be limited to $30.00. This can be a great teaching opportunity for kids to live on a budget. Sending them with large amounts of cash can cause issues. It is a great idea to place their money in a zip lock or some container marked with their name on it. Pre-teens are responsible for keeping up with their own money.

Pranks:

• NO PRANKS WILL BE ALLOWED ON INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN OR SPONSORS. Our goal is that everyone that goes to Camp will have a positive experience and have a deep desire to return to a Camp setting. Pranks directed toward individual children will hinder this experience and will not be tolerated.

Calling Home: • The Camp and FM Sponsors will encourage the children not to call home unless it is

absolutely necessary or an emergency. We ask that parents live by the motto “No news is good news” for the four days of Camp.

Kids Leaving the Camp Ground Early:

• If at all possible please avoid letting your kids leave early or picking them up and bringing them back. This will hurt their camp experience as well as the experience of others.

• In the case that your child has to leave: The FM Kids Sponsors and the Trinity Pines Camp Ground must know when and with whom the child is leaving the Camp ground with.

• The person picking up the child should have filled out a form before the pre-teen left for camp that include child/adult: name, who they are in relation to child, church name, and a good contact phone number

• All persons picking up a Camper must check in at Trinity Pines Conference Center Office to receive a wristband.
