Program Length : One Saturday every month 1:00-3:00pm Fee : $15/members $20/non-members **Pre-registration is required** Rockin’ Rainforest January 18 th , 2020 The rainforest is one of the neatest places on Earth! It is known for lush jungles filled with fascinating animals. Sloths, macaws, howler monkeys, and iguanas all call the forest home, but that’s not the only interesting thing about those trees! Trees in the rainforest provide humans with coffee, chocolate, rubber, gum, clean air and even medicine. Join us on an expedition to the rockin’ rainforest; you never know what you might discover! Wild Hospital February 15 th , 2020 Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at Safari? What happens when an animal needs some extra TLC? Zookeepers pack a lot of things into their day, and not all of them are glamorous! From preparing animal diets to scrubbing poop, keepers are busy ensuring all the animal residents are happy and healthy. Join us on this behind-the-scenes adventure to learn what it takes to care for the animals at Wildlife Safari. Wonders of Water March 14 th , 2020 Water keeps people healthy and helps us cool off in the heat, but what does it do for plants and animals? The water is home to a lot of creatures, although not all of them live there full-time. There are plants and animals that need an underwater home and others that don’t go near the water at all. Join us as we dive into the wonderful world of water! Super Seeds April 18 th , 2020 Baby animals are pretty easy to identify, but what does a baby plant look like? It’s a seed! Each type of plant makes a different seed. Some seeds are small and poky, some are large and smooth, and a few can even fly! Seeds eventually grow into adult plants, but they can’t do it on their own. Join us as we learn how humans and animals interact with seeds. Pollination Nation May 16 th , 2020 Bees and bats often get a bad rap, but they have a very important job: they’re pollinators! Without them, we wouldn’t have flowers, fruit, or vegetables. Since plants can’t move they have to figure out how to attract animals. From shockingly bright colors to super stinky smells there are some crazy ways that plants try to stand out! Join us as we investigate what happens in pollination nation. Kids Aged 4 7!
