August 6th 2016: Training program on Game

Management System

Special Olympics Bharat organized a training program on

Game Management System (GMS-7.2) and soft ball at

Rajeev Gandhi Stadium, Rohtak. Monika (Spl. Educator)

attended the training and shared the learning with the

staff at Khushboo.

Saurabh and Yashika have been selected. This internship will be of 6 months period for these children and after that based on their performance they will be absorbed as employees in the Hotel. Selected candidates will get internship stipend Rs.2500/- per month.

July 22nd 2016: Lemon Tree Internship

Training Programme:

4 of our students (Priyanka Hasija, Manjeet, Saurabh, Yashika) attended Interview at Lemon Tree Hotels for Down Syndrome/ Slow Learner traineeship Program.

2 of our children named Priyanka Hasija and Aditya

are participating in Basketball training organized by

Special Olympic Bharat at Tender Heart School,

Faridabad.

August 10th, 2016: Fidelity team members

celebrated the Independence Day/Volunteers Day

Fidelity team members celebrated their

Independence day/volunteer day with our children

by taking part in Independence Day celebration.

Flag hoisting was done by team members and later

students performed dance, drama on Mumbai

Attack and Patriotic Instrumental Music (sare jahan

se acha). The volunteers from Fidelity participated

in making the following items with our children:

Paper Bags

Beads Jewellery

Paper envelops

Door hanging and decoration Small refreshment was arranged for them by the

institute.

August 7th to 12th 2016: National Championship for Basketball

Priyanka & Aditya participated in National Championship for

Basketball in Chennai organised by Special Olympic Bharat.

Priyanka won the Gold Medal in National female championship for Basketball.

Aditya won the Bronze Medal in National male championship for Basketball.

August 11th 2016: New building Inauguration

New Building was inaugurated followed by flag

hoisting done by Mr. Arun Bhatia (M.D of

Carrier Aircon and Refrigeration). Later children

performed dance, drama and played Patriotic

Instrumental Music (sare jahan se acha).

August 12th 2016: Independence Day Celebration

Milliman team members celebrated their volunteer day with our children by

taking part in Independence Day celebration. Flag hoisting was done by team

members and later students performed dance, drama and Patriotic Instrumental

Music (sare jahan se acha).

August 22nd 2016: Dental

workshops

A dental workshop was conducted

at our centre for pre- school

children by Dr. Alka.

September 8th 2016: Workshop on ‘Cerebral Palsy’

Workshop has been conducted by our Physiotherapist Dr. Bidya Nand singh on the Topic

’Cerebral Palsy” with our staff members.

September 19th to 21st 2016: National Sports

Meet 2016

13 of our children along with 3 Staff member

participated in ‘National Sports Meet 2016’

(Sports- Cricket, Basketball, Badminton and

Football) organised by Government

Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual

Disabilities, Chandigarh.

8 children participated in a dance

competition on theme ‘Bachpan’ organised

by Very Special Art and they won first prize.

September 29th 2016: XL Catlin visited our centre

17 employees from XL Catlin visited our centre. They participated in some of the activities with our

students. These activities included: Painting of Diya’s, Beads Necklace making, Paper bag making and

Bhandhanwar.
