We will also be recognising students for effort and citizenship. Enrolment Management Plan Currently our Year 1 & 2 classes are full. We will only enrol students into these year levels who live in our catchment area.
Professional Development Keeping our staff at ‘the cutting edge’ of the teaching profession is a high priority for us. On Friday we had New Zealand expert Sheena Cameron work with staff across the Wide Bay. Sheena is a teacher, lecturer, researcher and a mum. She has developed a whole set of strategies to help support the teaching of reading in schools, especially in the area of comprehension. We have also had Bronwyn Braithwaite from Education Queensland working with local teachers to improve teaching practices. Covered Walk Ways Next week a number of these are having sheeting replaced. Please be aware of the orange barrier that will be in place and stay right away from these areas. It is anticipated that the work will be completed within 2 weeks. Newsletter Re-order We receive free paper for our newsletters. In return we invite local businesses to advertise on the back page. Currently we are looking for advertisers for the next reprint.
