WHY PARTICIPATE IN MONTH OF MEMORIES 2019? … Because we are ALL part of our beloved community!

Today, someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's every 65 seconds. By mid-century, someone in the United States will develop the disease every 33 seconds.

Alzheimer's disease is the only top 10 cause of death in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.

Keep Memory Alive Cares for the Caregiver. 83% of the help provided to older adults in the United States comes from family members, friends or other unpaid caregivers. Alzheimer's takes a devastating toll on caregivers.

Month of Memories, through Keep Memory Alive, aims to find, fund, and facilitate the most effective and innovative research and caregiver programming for patients and their families affected by brain disease. During November, we will bring awareness and help keep our memories alive with our beloved Las Vegas community.

What is a “Community Fundraiser“?Keep Memory Alive's Community Fundraising Champions are those in the community who host independent fundraisers in support of Keep Memory Alive. All events, large or small, play a significant role in raising awareness and much-needed support.

Why are “Community Fundraisers“ so important? As a non-profit organization, and because of our limited resources and staff, Keep Memory Alive relies on the generosity of our families, patients and friends to help us continue providing the highest quality care and innovative research. The leading-edge healthcare that patients receive at the Lou Ruvo Center is made possible in part through philanthropic efforts such as Community Fundraising Events.
