    1. Purpose & Description

    This Procedure establishes the method to be adopted for the development andimplementation of a behavioural safety programme. By analysing the interactions betweenpeople’s behaviour and the working environment it is possible to identify those factors thatsupport safe or unsafe behaviour. By changing the environment to support safe behaviourand implementing behavioural safety processes, accidents and incidents can be reduced.

    This is required to ensure that all the necessary means are taken to ensure that aprogramme of behavioural safety is developed effectively and that all those involved areaware of the process, predominantly detailing the steps to ensure that the process is inaccordance with legislation and International Best Practice. This document aims to:

    I. Identify clearly the procedures to be followed and clearly identify the

    stakeholders involved at the different stages.

    II. Give detailed explanation of how to complete the activities within the procedure

    III. Identify all relevant supporting information and documents to be used whenusing the procedures.
