    Junior Achievement

    TheJuniorAchievementEconomicsforSuccessprogramisdirectedtoGrade9and10studentstoencouragethemtothinkabouttheirfuturebeyondschoolandtopromotetheimportanceofeduction.

    Theprogramisdeliveredbyvolunteersfromthe

    communitywhoworkfromacourseprogramthroughaseriesofmodules.Engagementandhands-onparticipationofstudentsisincorporatedthroughpreparationofalivingonyourownbudget,resumewritingandjobinterviewroleplaying.

    TheFoundationhassupportedthisprograminKamloopsforthepastthreeyears.Thisyear,ShannonMcQuillanandTonyBradwelllwererookiepresentersataone-daysessionat

    ThompsonRiversUniversityandtheFoundationsponsoredapizzalunchwithadonationof$1,000.Approximately450studentsattended

    fromnumerousschoolsthroughouttheThompsonschooldistrict.

    Tonystatedthattheprogramiswelllaid-out,easytofollowandflexibleandthekidswereinterestedandeagertoexplorethetopics.
