On the other hand, indus-trial market appears huge demand over limited sup-ply. First of all, there are limited choices of prod-ucts. Many domestic engi-neers have been com-plaining that they have difficulty finding manufac-turing sources that can produce suitable and

Extruders who in-vested in industrial product lines, usu-ally emphasizes in presses, while over-looked the importance of auxiliary or matching equipments. This can be fatal. To produce high-quality industrial extru-sions, manufacturers must ensure “Teamwork” in the whole extrusion process.

In Jun, Kam Kiu will become the first Chi-nese Aluminium Ex-truder that get TS 16949 certified, and the only one extruder that qualified for producing automotive products.

Kam Kiu Group Sales Direc-tor, Mr. Benson Wu spoke in the China Aluminium Fo-rum, 2004.

As the first Chinese member of the Aluminum Association Inc, Kam Kiu host a luncheon during the 2004 China Alumi-num Forum hold in Hainan, to welcome all the member com-panies of the Aluminum Asso-ciation Inc, including Alcoa, Mitsui, etc. and the executives of Chalco were also invited. ALSPEC Group visits Kam Kiu

Kam Kiu welcomed the ALSPEC Group for a visit to their manufactur-ing plant in Taishan City, China, during August and Oct 2004. ALSPEC is the biggest distributor of alumin-ium products in Aus-tralia, with branches all over Australia’s main cities, and the busi-ness has increased substantially over the last ten years, with to-tal tonnage taken of extruded aluminium having tripled during

this period. ALSPEC has been growing to-gether with Kam Kiu, and both companies re-gard each other as stra-tegic partners in the alu-minium extrusion indus-try.

Over 70 branch manag-ers, sales managers and sales executives from all branches of ALSPEC spent 3 days with Kam Kiu’s management and

production team, ex-changing business ideas and experience, brain storming the marketing strategies. After the visit all AL-SPEC attendees walked away impressed with the facilities of Kam Kiu and the immense pro-gress of Kam Kiu’s equipment upgrading. And at the same time, Kam Kiu’s production engineers benefit from the first hand market information from AL-SPEC’s sales team, and much enriched with their production focus.

Ichie—proud of being associated with Kam Kiu for Japanese architecture market

China. He toured the whole country in China, and talked to numerous extruders, and finally he chose Kam Kiu to be his partner. Over the past 1.5 year, Kam Kiu has been supply-ing materials for Ichie’s projects in Japan, raising a strong market conscious-ness of Chinese metal, and start to re-shape Japanese mind set about Chinese metal quality. Following are the projects of Ichie that used Kam Kiu’s materials:

Meiji University - 明治大學

Nihon Medi Physics -

日本物理治療院

Shiodome Kyoudotusin -

汐留共同通訊社

Shiodome Sumitomo -

汐留住友商廈

Ichie is a medium size Japanese architecture company and indoor deco-ration contractor, special-ized in curtain wall design and installation. Several years ago, the owner and chairman of Ichie, Nakamura-san, re-tired from a major Japa-nese construction com-pany, he started Ichie, with ambition of being pioneer in curtain wall revolution in Japan. In order to make a break through in the highly monopolized market, he started investigation in China aluminium extrusion industry, hoping to use low cost material to re-engineer the curtain wall and indoor decoration mar-ket in Japan. With several trial and bad experience, he quickly realized the im-portance of partnering with good quality extruder in

Kam Kiu Aluminium Group has signed a con-tract with SMS Eumuco GbmH, to acquire 2 indirect extrusion presses from SMS. The 2 indirect extrusion presses, double acting, and both in 2800 tons, will be used to produce high preci-sion tubes, seamless tubes and tubes of hard alloys like 2000 series and 7000 series.

SMS Eumuco GbmH is the recognized world’s No.1 ex-trusion press manufacturer, the 2 indirect extrusion presses have all the advan-tage of Schloe-mann extrusion design. Specially: ● short stroke design, ● Automatically han-

dling of loose

dummy block and die block,

● Internal in-line piercer device with electro-hydraulically positioning control,

● Tube production via floating and fixed man-drel,

● Newest process infor-mation and control de-vice (PICOS)

Designed with three (3) sets of fully automatic paint booths and a pair of manual touch-up booths, the system can coat with all of the most recent coatings meeting all levels of AAMA specifications including 2603, 2604, and 2605. The new state of the art system is the first of its kind in China and will pro-vide Kam Kiu with ex-panded finishing capabili-ties to their commitment to maintaining a leading role

Kam Kiu Aluminium Group has recently up-graded its aluminium ex-trusion finishing capability with a new Vertical Extru-sion Liquid painting facility . Kam Kiu teamed with leading equipment builder Belco Industries, Inc. of the USA to produce the new highly efficient pro-duction facility. The sys-tem is capable of painting shapes up to 7.4 meters in length at a rate of approxi-mately 1,500 parts per hour or more at 4 meters per minute line speed.

in the extrusion industry. System features includes: 1. Heavy duty construction

to give maximum lon-gevity and reduced down time,

2. High production to shorten delivery times

3. High performance coat-ing capable to meet the most stringent of stan-dards,

4. State of the art design produces higher paint-ing efficiency and lower cost to apply coatings.

Kam Kiu is now working towards the accreditation of TS16949 cer-tificate, and will be qualified to produce automo-tive products in

mid 2005. By then, Kam

Kiu will become the only one extruder in China that can supply materials for automotive and marine industry.

Kam Kiu”s 4 new Ube ex-trusion presses, with the biggest one being 6180UST (16” billet), are now in-stalled and com-missioned. The new Ube presses are equipped with Granco Clark’s double pullers and quenching boxes, and ta-pered billet heater of I.A.S.

Pioneer in aluminium fencing and railing products in China

Kam Kiu’s engineer team is developing a series of aluminium fencing and rail-ing products, targeting domestic market in China. Aluminium is an ideal mate-rial for fencing and railing products, it is light, rust free, easy to work with, and is superior to other competing materials like wood or stainless steel or cast iron in the way that, it is maintenance free, rich in color application, environmentally friendly.
