1. ELI cares deeply about the spiritual condition of allpeople.

2. To practice selflessness rather than seeking power.3. It is to target the spiritual, physical, relation,

physiological, and economic problems that are happening, and tohelp them overcome them.

has called you to do.6. It means to go to different cultures and to serve in them

cause and to transform them with Gods power and grace.8. The people lack the skills, knowledge, or the

opportunities to succeed in life.9. ELI wants to use positional power to help bring people to

Christ and to give these people a better chance to live.10. A statement of faith is saying what you believe in and

why you believe in it. It is good to have one because it helps you

hold firm in your beliefs.11. ELI brings hope to the African people by helping them

in their spiritual development. They teach and encourage themto read the bible and to integrate Christ in all aspects of life. ELIhas their pastors talk to the people about serious issues in theircounty such as AIDS and to give them hope that Christ can healand protect them. When they address these needs that thepeople have they create a better community.

12. I would get involved in the short-term mission tripsbecause I think that I could really help people if I can go out andactually be with these people. I also would go into that ministrybecause it is really fun to tell people that there is someone thatloves them and that is Jesus Christ.

13. Food for Life KitsI picked this article because I thought that it sounded

interesting and I wanted to know more about how I could givefood to these impoverished areas in Africa. Through thisfoundation you can give $30 and sustain a family in Africa with

14. ELI is bringing hope to Africa by empowering themwith the strength and wisdom that they need to be able to help Africabecome a better place. They are showing them that they are worthsomething and that they can make a difference. They are teaching thethings that they need to help themselves and others to make a goodlife for them. They are also giving them past time activities that theycan do which gives them a whole new outlook on life. ELI also teachesthem about the love of God and how he came to here to save themfrom their sins. ELI is mainly for empowering their lives andencouraging them to help themselves and to change Africa for thebetter.
