books and manuscripts - first from the nazis and then from the soviets - by hiding them, burying them, and smuggling them across borders. it is a tale of heroism, resistance, friendship, romance, and unwavering devotion to literature and art. Dr. Fishman serves as director of project Judaica, Jts’s program in the Former soviet Union (FsU), which is based at russian state University for the humanities in moscow and Kyiv-mohyla academy University in Kiev. he directs its Jewish archival survey.

Jeff Jacob Assistant Executive Director
Jeff was born and raised in the Washington DC suburbs. After college, where he studied Media and Communications, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue careers in both marketing and songwriting.
While there, he was regional Marketing Director for Borders Books & Music for a decade, and released three solo recording projects, as well as a benefit CD for Magen David Adom. He also started a team building company. Jeff moved to Florida four years ago to take a position as Director of Operations for Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Jeff joined B’nai Torah a year and a half ago, and resides with his wife Karen, son Jonah, and dogs Lena and Bernie.
Jeff supports Rabbi Rikki Arad, our Executive Director, in nearly every aspect of the operations of the synagogue.
