Goa won the toss and elected to bat first in the overcast conditions. The courageous deci- sion seemed to have backtracked for the visitors as JK pacer, Ram Dayal rattled stumps of Goa’s seasoned opener SA Asnodkar opener for naught. Thereafter Goa went on to loss two more wickets courtesy Samiullah. At one time Goa was strug- gling on 21 for three. However a little secure part- nership between opener AS Desai and Ravikanth Shukla stabilised the inning.
