play helps even the littlest

child understand the true

meaning of Christmas. You

won’t want to miss it!

Merry Christmas!

With all the hustle and bustle this

time of year, don’t forget the real

reason for the season; our Savior’s

birth. A lot of the time we get

caught up in the commercial aspect

of it all and we don’t take the time

to reflect on the night that changed

everything. Take a break from the

shopping, the cleaning, the baking,

and the entertaining and sit down

as a family and read the Christmas

story from Luke 2. The greatest gift

we could ever get wasn’t under a

Christmas tree but in a manger.

December 6th during the second

service the Sunday school kids will

be sharing that story with you. We

are always excited to present “Just

A Little Christmas!” The kids have

been working hard all month so we

hope you enjoy it.

Our Giving Tree will be up all of

December. As you sort through

your child’s winter wear, consider

donating any gently used items that

they have outgrown. It’s a great

way for the whole family to

S.H.I.N.E.

We

are looking for

gently used or new winter

wear for kids such as boots, hats,

mittens, jackets, etc. for our Giving Tree.

All donations will be given to a school in mid-January

or February. This seems to be the time they are most

needed. The tree will

be up all of December

and half of January.

Along with the winter wear, we will be collecting funds to

purchase bus tokens for the homeless. Allan Law, the

sandwich guy, goes out every night distributing sandwiches

and bus tokens to those living on the streets. The bus is a

way for them to stay warm. Allan’s cancer has returned

and despite chemo treatments, he is still out every night

making sure that people have something to eat and a warm

place to spend the night. Join him and the 363 Days Food

Program in helping those in need. See one of the LWML

ladies between services to donate funds for bus tokens and

add an ornament to our tree. Thank you for your support!
