Between 1!00 and "000 tons per day of  Jurassic li mestone are processed here into concr ete a##re#at e and road construction materials. $s the roc% is contaminated with clay and soil it is particular ly important to separate these materials from the limestone material durin# the processin# operation. &n order to be able to produce hi#h'(uality concrete a##re#ate the (uarry operator decided to use mobile crushin# and screen in# plants from )leemann. Because of their hi#hly e*ective pre'sepa ration prior to crushin# these plants fully meet the special re(uirements placed on the processin# technolo#y in Montrond Quarry.  +he material is (uarried by blastin# and is then screened and cleaned from impurities in the heavy'duty double'dec% screen of the Mobicat M, 1"0 - primary crusher +he #rain sies /0 to 1!0 mm are directly forwarded to the crusher and onto the main dischar#e conveyor. +he 0 to /0 mm pre'screened material is stoc%piled via a lateral dischar#e conveyor and is either used as sub#rade material for local forest paths or also fed into the secondary crusher. +he bypass material and the crushed roc% of a sie up to "00 mm is transported from the mobile primary crusher to a secondary crusher type Mobirex M 10 -. 2ere the sie 0 to 1.! mm is separated on the pre'screen of the secondary crusher and sold as sub#rade material for road construction. &n the second crushin# sta#e of the processin# operation the pre'crushed material ran#in# from 1.! to "00 mm in sie is transported to the Mobirex M 10 - impact crusher where it is reduced to #rain sies of between 0 and 30 mm. +he #rain sies 0 to "0 mm and "0 to around 30 mm are separated by the sin#le'dec% secondary screen mounted on the Mobirex plant.  +he #rain s ie "0 to 30 mm 4 the so'called overs ie material 4 is fed bac% into th e crusher while the #rain sie 0 to "0 mm is separated further into its individual a##re#ate fractions on the hi#h'performance screen of the Mobiscreen M5 "0 6. &n this 7nal processin # sta#e the 0 to "0 mm #rain sie is separated into the four hi#h' (uality a##r e#ate fractions 0 to 3 mm 3 to 8 mm 8 to 10 mm and 10 to "0 mm. Montrond Quarry in the French Jura Mountains has an estimated raw material
