Summer is just around the corner and the Worship Committee has planned some great services for the month of June. We invite everyone to participate. Please see the list below:

June 11th – Western Day! Everyone is encouraged to wear their western attire to church.

June 18th – Father’s Day/Team Day! Get out those favorite team shirts and wear them to church. Let’s see how many different teams are represented that day.

June 25th – Hawaiian Shirt Day! Pastor Paul’s favorite shirt day!!! Let’s make the sanctuary colorful with all the tropical shirts!

Pentecost Special Offering - June 11

Churches Change the World… Start More! is the theme for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 2017 Pentecost Offering, which will be celebrated Sundays, June 4 and June 11.  To date, the Christian Church has started 980 new churches in the United States and Canada, sharing the gospel with more than 61,500 individuals since initiating the 2020 Vision in 2000. According to McTyer our original goal was to start 1,000 new congregations by 2020, but we can’t stop there. “We must continue our journey by setting our heights higher, planting even more churches and equipping more courageous leaders,” he says. Each year, half of the Pentecost Offering is designated to the local Christian Disciples Region/Area in an effort to start and sustain new churches. The other half is used by Hope Partnership to support the recruitment, assessment, training and coaching of new church leaders at events like Leadership Academy.

Please let the office know if there is anyone that needs to be taken OFF of or ADDED to this list. We appreciate your help!

ICSS is looking for… FOOD/PERSONAL ITEMSComplete Meal in the box, Creamy Peanut butter, grape jelly, mac & cheese, cereal (with sugar), canned goods, soups, chili, beans, corn, chips, cold drinks, candy etc. Liquid laundry soap, dove soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, conditioner, Toilet paper, paper towels, deodorant, Q-tips, dental floss, and razors.

HOUSEHOLD ITEMSBlankets, comforters, sheets (all sizes needed), pillows (need to be new please) Pots & Pans, Utensils, bath towels, Irons, lamps, TV, Furniture

Silverware, Plastic glasses, Dishes sets of 4 or more, mops, brooms, etc. New Tupperware, or Food storage containers Gas Cards from Wal-Mart, Chevron, Racetrack, QT, Kroger, etc. – no more than $20 increments please! Underwear (new only) all sizes and kids, Women and kids clothes all sizes accepted Please mark your items for ICSS and put them on the floor next to the NEED box. If you need anything large (or large quantities) picked up, call Judy Walther at 817.706.6038 and she will make arrangements to get the items. Your loving generosity is always appreciated by the women and children serviced by ICSS!
