GRACE 2.0 The hands and feet of Jesus today work and walk through the hands and feet of our community members. Like Jesus, who touched the coffin of the widow’s son giving both the son and moth-er new life, we touch the lives of each other and bring new, unexpected life by our outreach. Our simple hospitality to one another, everyday friendliness, goes a long way in building community. Jesus leads us. He sees and acts BEFORE he is asked. Can we find the courage and initiative to “see and act,” -- step up, help out, enter in, and make a difference BEFORE we’re asked? This is our community of faith to build together. Each of us has some “coffin corner” within that needs a comforting hand. Let our hand be the hand that comforts.

Dear Parishioners:

What are you doing this summer? Fishing, swimming, playing and praying? The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus! This is a perfect time for praying to Our Lord and Savior and being His heart-felt love in this world.

"From among all the proofs of the infinite goodness of our Savior none stands out more prominently than the fact that, as the love of the faithful grew cold, He, Divine Love Itself, gave Himself to us to be honored by a very special de-votion and that the rich treasury of the Church was thrown wide open in the interests of that devotion." - Pope Pius XI refers to the Sacred Heart Devotion, which was given by Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1673-1675.

As in today's Gospel, Jesus' love is so great, He is moved with pity for us. He gives life back to the son of the widow of Nain. Perhaps he felt the very sor-rows of His Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was a widow and who would also see the death of her only Son. Let us respond to this request of Jesus by our act of consecration: We offer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, both ourselves and all that belongs to us, to make reparation for our ingratitude to God. Let's honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus by sharing His mercy to all we meet.

Have a wonderful, joyful and prayer-filled summer vacation!

!Blessings upon your family! Fr. Gabriel

   Principle #5

There are many countries where women and girls don’t have as many opportunities as men and boys. Fair Trade makes sure to give jobs to as many women as possible. Most of the people who make Fair Trade items

are women. When women are treated with the same dignity and respect as men, everyone in the community benefits.
