1ST CLASS COMPLETE EXCESSIVE HEAT

Each Monday, the city posts jobs available for current employees to consider. Here’s the link to the most recent Job Opportunities.

This week, we’ve experienced a rare heat wave that flirted with 120° temperatures. A reminder to all city employees, especially field workers, to take it easy when outdoors. Please seek shade, drink plenty of water and use sunscreen throughout the day.

If you find yourself out in the city and need a place to cool off, remember that the city is operating 47 cooling centers, which include all 17 city libraries. They are open to the public for everyone to cool down with free Wi-Fi. There’s also access to restrooms and water for everyone who stops by.

Visit Phoenix.gov/Heat for important heat-related information. Please follow #PHXheat on social media as the city will continue to publish heat details all summer long.
