In a pitchers’ duel and a scoreless game through three innings, things changed in the 4th inning. With two on and one out, Eve Stone stepped up to the plate and, although it wasn’t a shot heard ’round the world, it certainly lit up the Albertsons/Courier fans as she wacked one into the outfield for two RBIs to break the ice as A-C would go on to win 4-1. At left, Rance Rhoads turned in an exceptional performance from the mound to wrap up a championship.
