Dear Friends,
The 2017-2018 school/college academic year will soon end in a few weeks and summer vacations will start for our ZANT families. We have for the community our Ghahambar/ Graduation honors day on Sunday, May 27, 2018 to give "Thanks". The board is also honored to fete the school as well as college graduating seniors whose write-ups are included in this newsletter. We hope to have a good turnout for the dual celebrations!
It is not too early for us to start the process of getting members to sign up for the upcoming ZANT Board that will take office on November 1, 2018 for a 2 year term. We encourage all members to volunteer to serve on the next Board. A nomination form is attached to the e-mail. We hope members will step forward as the rewards of service are very gratifying!
The feelings of accomplishment after all the events that ZANT holds are truly amazing. Let’s keep the ball rolling for our community in North Texas and the surrounding areas.

Religious Class:
At our April Religious class, our Little ones and our Middle-age group played a game & reviewed all we have learnt in the last year…. It was quite a com-petition as Team “B” won by 1 point! Well done kids! Proud of you!
The teen April class focused on the prayer Doa Nam Setayeshne. Setayesh means praise and this, as many of our prayers do, sings the praise of Ahura Mazda. It has eight para-graphs.
The first four sing Ahura Mazda's praises. The fifth paragraph is very interesting. It talks of the six forces of life. We are familiar with the first three: Manash-ni, Gavashni, and Kunashni. But here are three more: Veer - a strong mind with self-control, Hosh - awareness and consciousness, and Kherad - intellect and wisdom to discriminate right from wrong.
The sixth paragraph offers thank to Ahura Mazda for the above-mentioned which makes Man the supreme creation. The seventh paragraph reveres Ahura Maz-da as the ultimate forgiver and the final paragraph praises Ahura Mazda, the Amesha Spentas and seeks help from Behram Yazad to defeat the enemy(evil).
Thank You!
We are very grateful to our Parent Volunteers for cater-ing lunch for our kids & adults & a monthly Birthday Cake, at each Religious Class. We’d like to thank the Irani family(Delnaz & Spenta) for kids’ lunch & Be-livan_Kyani family for adults’ lunch & kids’ B’day cake!
Children’s Religious Class:
There will not be any Religius class in May. Our next religious class will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Please be at the ZANT Center by 10:45 a.m. so we can have the Prayers & Tandarosti for kids in the Prayer Room at 11 a.m. For further details about the Religious Classes, please contact Pearl P. Balsara at [email protected].
