Parking strategies
• Off-street facilities • Shared parking • Additional supply
• Transportation demand management • Car share
Summary
• There is a need for investment in the neighborhood to improve the existing quality of life – i.e. to make streets safer, to fix broken infrastructure, to help attract stores and services
• We need a lot of different funding sources to address the challenges and opportunities in the community
• Whatever the final design – there will be the opportunity for flexibility with respect to location and time of day restrictions
WHAT COULD WE DO HERE?
Rules of the game
• You can only place pieces within the 60’ of Right-Of-Way
• A bus lane must be provided in both directions
• The bus lane must allow for curbside passenger pick-up/drop-off
• We must use all 60’ • You can suggest a different cross-section for
different parts of the neighborhood
