A boundary adjustment between Diamond Ridge (824…and growing) and Silver!

Hills (350) is being considered. !!

This initial proposal would involve approximately 150 students

Should the Redwood Elementary students continue to feed into Granger High or should they begin feeding into

Cottonwood High?

PAC recommendation: Discontinue !!

While the change would reduce Granger’s enrollment by apprx 300 (from 3100 to 2800)!and increase Cottonwoods enrollment from!1825 to apprx 2125 over a 3 year period, there

are many significant concerns.!

!Adding 8 new bus routes!

!Increase bus travel time from avg 10-12 minutes to!

avg 25-30 minutes!!

Concerns about students having ability to participate in before and after school activities!

!Hardship of parents for students that miss a bus, are sick, medical appointments,

need to come to the school during the day, etc.!!

Potential affects on graduation rate!!!

Loss of Community Identity!!!

Concerns among both school community councils!!!
