In an attempt to address some of the elements to help bridging the gap between the industry and the employees, OPAL in partnership with Oman Oil Co. developed “My Job, My Oath” programme to educate the junior Omani employees in the fields in work ethics and essentials of business environment and economics. The intention was to give the em-ployees an opportunity to under-stand their rights and obligations which would eventually help mo-tivate them develop themselves and perform better and at the same time support their organi-sation by being more productive.

The program is tailored specif-ically to provide Omani em-ployees working in skilled and semiskilled job levels in vari-ous oil and gas activities with appropriate tools to raise the general understanding of the national economy and civic responsibility in addition to Oman labour law.

The conference brought to light the current status and future expectations on waste man-agement scenario in Oman. It was thought-provoking with experts sharing the knowledge and best management practic-es. As O&G partner, OPAL

supported the organizer Ni-spana to make the event more beneficial to OPAL members. Some of the Major stakehold-ers of the conference are Min-istry of Environment, Muscat Municipality, PDO, Haya and Muscat Expo.
