Greetings to all in the

It is good to be able to

tell you once again of thegoodness of Jesus. We are

truly blessed to be allowed

to know who He really is.

I look around the

church world today and

see so many who are being

deceived. We are truly

blessed to be connected to

One who holds the world

in His hands and has us

under His protection. Ihope all of you reading

this newsletter are making

your plans for convention

time in August. It begins

the 2nd Tuesday in Au-

gust which is August 11.

We are looking forward

to feasting on some great

word, songs and testimo-

nies of the saints of God.

Natural food is good, but

the good word of God is

more beneficial to our

souls. If we could take

care of the inner man as

well as we take care of this

flesh, we would be giants

in the realm of the spirit.

I am looking forward to

seeing all of you again in

Tullahoma. Just quick

reminder, if you have not

sent in your dues for last

year, please do so as soon

as possible. If there is a

Church of Jesus Christ Organi-

zation in 1965, and the Banner of

Love in 1966. He will be remem-bered as a tenderhearted, loving

and forgiving man of faith whose

life passion was the Kingdom of

God. We do well to follow his

example.

Bishop H.E. Honea was a man of

deep, abiding faith in God and

love for people. He went home to

be with the Lord on June 10,

2009 leaving behind an impres-

sive legacy of life and ministry.

Born Oct. 30, 1939. He was saved

and called to preach in April

1953, filled with the Holy Ghost

in 1955 and baptized in Name of Jesus Christ in 1958. He preached

in 32 states, 3 foreign countries

and pastored in 4 states. Or-

dained Bishop in 1965, Bishop

Honea ordained 120 ministers

and 32 surrendered to preach

under his ministry. Bishop Honea

pastored the Tullahoma Church

for 46 years and founded the First

To our precious Brother and Sisters, the Alabama District of The First

Church of Jesus Christ sends our love and prayers to you all in Jesus’ Name!

It is with great honor and joy to share that we had a wonderful revival

with our General Chairman and First Lady, Bishop and Sister Bogue, at the Gos-

pel Lighthouse Church in Calhoun, Georgia this past May 2nd and 3rd! It was also

a great honor to have my grandpa, Bishop Herman Smith drive all the way from

Orlando, Florida to support me during the revival! The first night of revival I

preached a message titled “There’s No Substitute for the Real Thing!” I took my

text from II Kings 12 where the Scripture talks about Jeroboam put the two gold-

en calves in Bethel and one in Dan to keep the people from going to Jerusalem

(the true place of worship). Jeroboam duped God’s people – then in II Chronicles

13; Abijah stands up and calls Jeroboam OUT for his deceiving the people of

God! Said – “you may have a feast that looks like our Feast, but it’s not the RE-

AL THING!” Basically, Abijah says – “Jeroboam you’re a phony; but as for us

the Lord is our God, and we have NOT forsaken Him!” (Verse 10) – In all of this

religious mess that we’re in today, there is the REAL and there are phonies! The

Apostolic-One God-Pentecostal-Jesus Name-Holiness Church IS THE REAL

THING! No need to look for another because anything outside of this good Jesus

Name, One God, Apostolic, Message is fake, phony and a lie! “It’s real, it’s real,

I know it’s real, this Pentecostal blessing, I know, I know, it’s REAL!” –

“There’s No Substitute for the Real Thing!”

Finally, let me say we absolutely love and appreciate our General Chair-

man, his precious wife, Sister Bogue, and the Gospel Lighthouse Church. We

were treated so kind and taken very well care of during our stay. The Lord has

blessed our organization with honorable leadership and we are so very thankful

for our General Chairman and First Lady. We look forward to seeing you all at

the World Convention in August in Tullahoma. Until then please remember the

Jesus Name Pentecostal Church of Samson and the Smiths in your thoughts and

prayers. We love you all!
