A Natural Mineral Water
Carbon dioxide IMPROVES the Texture of Water
As we know, hard water has a high mineral content. The minerals are
mostly metal ions such as calcium and magnesium in the form of
carbonates.
CaCO3 and MgCO3
SP3, Part II
As everybody knows there is a difference between Hard, SP3 and Soft water
Hard water contains Calcium and Magnesium and has a ‘hard’ feel when washing when compared to Soft water. People who have a water softener quite often claim they cannot get rid of soap from their body when washing! This is because they are continuing to use the same amount of soap etc.

Carbon Dioxide and Water Texture
SP3, Part II
In reality, they can reduce their soap use by up to 50% and still get the
same effect as washing in hard water#. However, customer feedback has
also shown that SP3 water can save you money on soap use when
compared to hard water.
This is particularly important for people who want to enjoy some benefits
of soft water, but do not want water that is totally softened.
Improved Water Texture with SP3: SP3 water is enriched with CO2. The CO2 bubbles reduces surface tension to improve the texture and feel of the water and inturn makes the water have a better feel to it when washing.

A Natural Mineral Water
Minerality Still Effervescent
Balance Levels of Carbonation
CaCO3 H2O Carbonated CO2
Minerality of water is determined by the minerals it contains. Calcium and
Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO3 and CaCO3) are the key minerals.
They give texture but do not suppress other minerals such as potassium,
sodium, sulfate, silica, bicarbonates and trace elements. Lead and copper
are removed by SP3 media in all contents and concentrations.

Gases, colloids or sediments are not included in the minerals measurement.
Minerals are the second most important factor in healthy food. A high mineral
water falls in the category of Classic Water.

SP3 Water for DrinkingA Natural Mineral Water
Classic Water is a main workhorse when
pairing food and water.
Classic Water is also perfect for coffee, tea
and mixed drinks. If you have low minerals
then SP3 water is a good choice for all drinks
and beverages.

Calcium and Magnesium levels combine to give TOTAL HARDNESS.
CaCO3 Hardness with SP3 Water
SP3, Part II
A guide to water hardness levels
CaCO3 Hardness (ppm) CaCO3 Hardness (US) Category
17 – 60 mg/L 1 – 3.4 gpg Slightly Hard Water
60 – 120 mg/L 3.4 – 6.7 gpg Moderately Hard water
120 – 180 mg/L 6.7 – 10 gpg Hard water
180 mg/L and above 10 gpg and above Very Hard water
Over 60% of the UK water has hard/very hard water!

Structured Water = H2O 100% natural
SP3 Water is Structured Water
SP3, Part II
Hard tap waters contain two types of hardness, Temporary and Permanent. Together they make Total Hardness.
Hardness – Ca(HCO3)2 water creates scale in pipes, hot water appliances, dishwashers, washing machines, showers, taps etc. It also makes cleaning more difficult and more dependent on soaps and synthetic detergents. In industry, scale builds up in boilers, heat exchangers and coffee machines etc., to name but a few applications. When hard water passes through the SP3 unit, the bracket of Ca(HCO3)2 is opened and changes its TEXTURE to
Temporary Hardness •Ca(HCO3)2
•Mg(HCO3)2
And
Permanent Hardness •Sulfate (SO4)•Chloride (Cl)•Silica (SiO2)

The importance of pH in water
pH of the water is a most important factor in all drinking water
applications. The pH (potential Hydrogen) measures the level of acidity
or alkalinity. On the pH scale 1.0 to 6.8 is classified as acidic and is
generally not recommended for vending type applications. pH between
6.9 and 7.2 is nearly neutral and 7.3 to 14 is alkaline (or basic). All
natural waters or low alkaline waters (pH 7.2 to 7.5) are best for human
consumption. This level is generally accepted as ‘neutral’ to the human
tongue with regard to taste thresholds. Since pH is a Logarithmic scale,
the difference of 1 degree indicates a tenfold increase or decrease in
acidity or alkalinity. Water from weak acid cations with a pH of 5 for
example is 10 times more acidic than that with a pH of 6.

Structured Water
Definition of Structured;
Nothing added or subtracted and 100% natural
Ca(HCO3)2 → CaCO3 + H2O + CO2
.
This in turn means the H2O water molecule has its outer electron shell
intact, i.e. in equilibrium and without a change. This is a structured water, a
water without the change in pH, without adding an impurity, a water that
can penetrate the body’s cells much more easily and therefore cleanse and
re-hydrate your body’s cells. It is this cleansing of your cells that
contributes to a healthier life.

TDS as a function of cell hydration property
The lower the TDS (Minerals) the
greater the cell hydrating properties
of the water.
All healthy cells are surrounded by
structured water.
All mineral waters with their unique
mineral composition are reputed to
have healthful properties.

Effect of minerals on your health
SP3, Part II
Herewith, we describe the most healthiest
minerals found in SP3 water and the benefits
these minerals can provide.
Compared to as an example a glass of wine,
the differences in taste between waters are
quite subtle. But they are nevertheless
discernible. Local geological strata impart
water with different minerals, giving each and
every single source of drinking water a unique
set of minerals and taste

Magnesium and the Human Body
SP3, Part II
Magnesium (Mg++)
Almost all human cells have some level of magnesium in them and all
adults need four hundred milligrams (400 mg) of Mg++ everyday.
Magnesium is very important for the regulation of muscle contractions
and the transmission of nerve impulses and it activates energy producing
enzymes. Human beings complete bone structure relies on Mg++ and it
helps to expand blood vessels, which reduces the risk of heart attack.
Some illnesses are related to magnesium deficiency. Nervousness, lack
of concentration, dizziness and headaches or migraines are a contribution
of high sodium and lack of magnesium in water . Magnesium is an
accepted and important flavour carrier and enhances the flavours
available in your cuppa!
13WATCH GmbHA Water Company
Calcium (Ca++) only SP3 can do
It is recommended that every adult needs about 800 mg of Ca++ per
day – babies don’t require more than 300 mg/day but all youngsters
between fifteen and nineteen year olds need significantly more.
The many benefits include stabilizing bone structure, teeth and cell
membranes, ensuring nerve and muscle impulses are properly
transmitted and helping to prevent blood clotting. Calcium also has a
balancing effect for some skin allergies. Bone decalcification
(osteoporosis) and fractures become more likely if a bodies calcium
levels are not maintained. The best water for drinking should have
between 200 mg/liter to 400 mg/liter calcium.

What is Textured water?
SP3, Part II
Natural carbonated water is water that contains CARBON DIOXIDE GAS
(CO2). The natural gas in temporary hardness Ca(HCO3)2 when it comes
into contact with solid particles of SP3 media creates:
This CO2 gas creates bubbles in the water (H2O), leading to an effervescent
TEXTURE that improves its feel and appearance when washing.
Additionally, this effervescence promotes enjoyable drinking water. This
water is known as “Light Sparkling Effervescent Water” or SP3 water.
Natural carbonated water has many examples and they have been
consumed for centuries by people who believe in its Heath Benefits.
