Dance me a story,I’ll share mine with you
This workshop will introduce four of the lesser-known ballet classics – La Sylphied, Giselle, Coppelia, and Swan
Lake – to our young students. The great full-length ballets of the world are complex fairy tales and exploring them through movement and creative writing will result
in a deeper appreciation for this beautiful art form.
Mornings will be spent learning the stories of the ballet classics, listening to the music, seeing costumes,
and learning the histories behind each ballet. The workshop will foster writing skills as students will be
encouraged to write their own simple fairy tales!
