Aubrey Horvath Aubrey Horvath is a 2000 graduate of Hillsborough High School. While at HHS, Aubrey was involved in varsity cross country her sophomore through senior years, varsity track her junior and senior years, and varsity swimming all four years. While at HHS, Aubrey’s swimming highlights include being a part of the team which defeated Bridgewater 92-78 in the Somerset County meet to claim the County Championship. Additionally, her team went on to post a 15-1 record after losing only to West Windsor in the Group IV Central Jersey Sectional finals where she took first in the 50m free and the 100m free. That same year, her team was ranked #2 in the state. At the Skyland Conference championships, Aubrey took first in the 50m free, the 100m free, the 200m free relay, and the 400m free relay. She worked particularly well with her relay team of Jen Allen, Jen Gephart, and Kelly McIsaac. At the NJSIAA Meet of Champions, Aubrey took Hillsborough’s first ever state gold when she won the 400m free relay. At that same meet, she took fifth in the 50m free and set a new school record. In fact, Aubrey holds several records at HHS: 24.85 in the 50m free, 56.77 in the 100m free, 2:10.09 in the 200m free, and 6:10.38 in the 500m free. After HHS, Aubrey attended The College of New Jersey where she continued her tremendous swimming career. In 2001-2003, Aubrey collected 12 All-NJAC First Team honors. She holds the TCNJ record in the 50m and 100m free, the 400m medley relay, and the 200m, 400m, and 800m free relays. She was also voted the NJAC Swimmer of the Year in both 2002 and 2003. Aubrey earned All- American awards from 2002 to 2004: in ’02 she was All-American in the 50m free; in ’03, in the 50m free, 100m free, 200m free relay, 800m free relay, and 400m free relay; and in ’04 in the 50m free. Aubrey was the TCNJ Swim Team captain in her senior year. After college, Aubrey has been involved in Masters swimming and is currently attending Georgia State University. The Athletic Hall of Fame committee is proud to welcome Aubrey to the 2008 class of the HHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
