We hope everyone is enjoying what spring and summer we have had so
far. With the late snow and then what seems like endless rain it is hard to
face that we only have just two months left of summer. Although the winter
hockey season is several months away, RAHA Events are only a few short
weeks away. RAHA plans to have a huge presence at Leprechaun Days with
some old favorites returning (Leprechaun Days Parade float, Boosters mer-
chandise booth, Golf Outing and Try Hockey for Free) as well as new additions
(First Annual Street Hockey Tournament). Information on the Leprechaun
Days events are listed on the website as was as the June and July newsletters.
Although the season is still a few months away, our hockey board has been
busy setting up the 2013-2014 season. We had a very new board last year
and accomplished many positive changes. Some of the BOD highlights of the
past season include: creating unique fundraising opportunities to assist in low-
ering the costs of hockey, establishing a monthly newsletter, improving our
website to be more informative and user friendly and creating new develop-
ment opportunities for our young players.. As a board and an association, we
will continue to build on our success and learn from some of our shortfalls.
Keep an eye on the website and upcoming newsletters for details on the up-
coming season. We are looking forward to a fun and successful 2013-2014
season.
See you at the Rink,
RAHA Board of Directors.

• There will be the second annual Try Hockey For Free day at RCC on July 28th. This is a chance for
boys and girls of all ages to give hockey a test run and learn more about this great sport. We will
provide all the equipment (skates, helmets, sticks pads etc.), so all we need is a eager group of
young people who are ready to try hockey. Help to build the RAHA community by letting your
neighbors know.
• We still have some at-large positions available. If you are interested in helping out RAHA please
keep an eye out as these positions will be posted soon.
• Irish Clinic information will be open soon! We have some great coaches lined up to come in and
work with our skaters. Keep an eye on the website for details.
• We are having a First Annual Street Hockey event during Leprechaun Days. Sorry grown ups this is
just for the kids! Maybe next year!
Rosemount Area Hockey Association (RAHA) awarded four post-secondary educa-
tion scholarships. Awards were presented to one male Rosemount Varsity Hockey
